On the afternoon of my 17th birthday I celebrated reaching this milestone by partaking in my first driving lesson. It was a momentous occasion as freedom was inching ever closer. Being able to drive to see my friends instead of expecting my parents to chauffeur us all around was all I could think about.
I went onto pass my theory test with 35/35 (first time) and my actual practical test with only 4 minors (first time). My mum had almost worn holes in the carpets by pacing around the house whilst I sat my practical test. There was no need to worry though as I do take after her with my driving style. Mum has always been a confident driver and it rubbed off on me completely!
Friends can guarantee that they will always learn new words when I am driving. I maybe an aggressive driver, having yet to shake off my “girl racer” days but I always ensure my passengers are safe. As a passenger seat driver – I am too quick to call shotgun to be a back seat driver- I am terrible, it is the whole control aspect. My instructions used to cause many arguments with the ex, but I do put that down to him being a terrible driver anyway!
Knowing exactly what I am like, have you ever considered what type of driver you are? The insurance company Quotemehappy.com have compiled a fantastic video that will enable you to discover what type of driver you are. With several drivers in different scenarios, you will most definitely be able to spot which driver you relate to the most and have a giggle whilst watching how each driver deals with their given situation.
