Review: Just Dance Disney Party Complete With Tinker Bell

JDDPRecently we were sent Just Dance Disney Party for the Wii to try, alongside a beautiful Tinker Bell dress from Rubie’s. As the dress is unfortunately too small for me, there was only one other person in our house who could wear the dress and it fit perfectly!

What better way to dance along to …. than wearing an actual Tinker Bell fairy dress complete with wings!

Following the same concept as all the Just Dance games, players have to do their best to keep up with the on screen dancers and copy their moves. All the dance routines available are favourites from well known Disney programmes and movies including the original theme tunes. A thumbs up from me as I appreciate the original music and the songs are easily recognisable for children.

Liv and I had so much fun dancing around and generally being silly dancing to the likes of Bare Necessities from the Jungle Book and Under the Sea from The Little Mermaid. At one point Liv actually put the controller down and continued to sashay around the living room. I would like to say that the routine’s are easy to follow, they are in the most part but where on earth do those kids get their energy from?! I am sure they are the future generation of Strictly Come Dancing!

On the Wii options available include: Non-stop shuffle, Fitness tracker, and Custom playlists on the Parents Corner which are handy Rubie'stools! Play as a team to achieve a high team score or play Freeze and Shake for extra points. Liv and I just chose to dance away and not even bother with points. I did notice that not all the points were registered, however I believe this was more to do with our new controllers than the actual game. I have never had any problems with previous Just Dance games and it was the first use of our new controllers. Note to Wii users: make sure your controllers sync up correctly!

All in all, you cannot have much more fun than playing any of the Just Dance games, though for a Disney household, there really was no other choice. It was lovely to see Liv swaying to the Tinker Bell theme and pretending to be a fairy Princess. As that is her career path of choice I was mightily impressed with how easy it was for her to get into character!

Currently priced at £14.99 on Amazon, Just Dance Disney Party is well worth the money and is a great way to shed the pounds over Christmas!
