The start to my Weight Watchers diet had been going well until Liv mentioned she would like a curry for her dinner on Friday evening. As we have been good and not had a takeaway since well before Christmas, I agreed that it was definitely time for a treat.
Pakoras, poppadums, naan and a few forkfuls of Lamb Saag and rice later and I was absolutely full. In fact so full I could hardly eat my Lamb Saag, I still had half a portion left in the container and 2/3rds of my bowl remaining. Really not like me at all as I do love eating curry.
I had been good all day with only a Weight Watchers Fromage Frais (1 Pro Point) for breakfast and a Ham (3 slices), cheese (20g) and lettuce and tomato Weight Watchers Wrap (5 Pro Points in total) for lunch. As I have not been eating anywhere near my daily Pro Points allowance it was time I broke into my 49 weekly points allowance that everyone on the diet receives, alongside their own individual Pro Points allowance.
My weight loss is still going well and I do credit eating much healthier foods, alongside jumping on my exercise bike (which also requires arm movement) each day.
In fact I have never seen my fridge so healthy! Apart from Liv’s treats which no-one can ever can ever share, the fridge really does look completely different to how it did before Christmas!
In the next couple of weeks I am planning to broaden my meal planning with more scrumptious home made cuisine. This week, I have enjoyed reading more blog posts than I probably read throughout the last 12 months and have found some fabulous recipes – all inspired by people on diets, not just Weight Watchers.
The Musing Housewife has been so inspired and motivated by her diet, that she has set up a recipe sub-domain, which feature delicious recipes with Pro Points values and images – definitely worth a look!

I should start tracking my points again, to check I’m still on track. The recipes blog sounds like a great place to start so thanks for the link

Sounds like you’ve had a good week. Well done on the exercise bike too, mine needs dusting off it’s been that long since I used it. Good luck for next week.

Thanks Jane, can’t believe I am still going on the bike every night – I even felt guilty I only did 10 minutes the other night… what has come over me! LOL!! Thank you and good luck to you too
