Would You Trust Me To Organise Your Hen Party Before Your Wedding?!

Disclosure: This is a sponsored post – all thoughts and opinions are my own – though if you do happen to have any Hen Party ideas please leave a comment below to give me inspiration! :)

Wedding season is definitely upon us now and if you haven’t already received numerous invitations for special events this year, there is definitely still time yet!

FlowersThis year sees the biggest event in my best mate’s diary… her own wedding; which also means it is one of the biggest events in my diary too! Living so far apart is extremely hard, especially when I have been tasked with arranging a Hen Night to remember. Facebook is a godsend at the moment, bringing everyone together so we can message each other with not so suitable ideas! The stripper idea has been tossed around, though I am hoping to come up with a classier plan…

The internet is a wealth of knowledge, if you are organising a wedding on a budget then there are zillions of ideas to help you plan the perfect day.

If money is no object but unfortunately time may be of the essence then there really is no other alternative than a wedding organiser or event planner. Unless you really are brave enough to let your mother and future mother-in-law organise your nuptials for you.

I always dreamed of having a wedding planner whisking me off to Vera Wang to try on stunning gowns – much like Anthony Marentino from Sex and The City – organising everything down to the last detail. To have someone who you can entrust every single detail of your special day to is a BIG deal. That’s why I feel so privileged that my bestest mate in the whole wide world has bestowed the honour of organising her Hen Party. I think the ideas I have in mind are achievable but do have several back up plans just in case. In fact I went on a search for ideas over the weekend and came across Collection 26, there really are some great ideas on there – for decorations I liked the glass bottles hung at different levels with different coloured flowers, very shabby chic!

The possibilities are simply endless, though for me I know I will never have that day again. I am totally Mrs. Anti-Marriage now – though my feelings will not stop me helping my best mate have the most memorable day of her life.  Let’s just hope there is no karaoke, otherwise I may just have to get up and belt out ‘I Say A Little Prayer’.

  1. I would totally trust you – but it would have to be an epic party…and of course I’d need to get divorced first!

  2. Oooh what fun. If I were planning I think I’d be living on Pinterest right now.

I’m a bit past it for drunken weekends away to Blackpool now, I think my perfect Hen Do would involve teacups and a sewing bee! Yawn.

    • Ohhh teacups… I am liking that idea. If only it were closer up here we could take a trip to Betty’s Tearoom. Though that doesn’t mean I can’t take it to my mate :)

  3. Hmmm now that sounds nice, and I am renewing my wedding vows this year with a party, so…..
I wonder if a hen party is in order for a renewal of vows…?
