Weight Loss Wednesday Linky: The Christmas Countdown

Welcome to the Weight Loss Wednesday Linky!

According the Christmas countdown clock, there are 52 days until Christmas. That is a really scary number, not simply for the fact I have to ensure all the presents are purchased and wrapped… but because it does not give me that long to shift some poundage before the Christmas food haul starts and I find myself in a vicious cycle.

However, my butt has been kicked into gear recently, mainly because I was comfort eating over half term due to suffering with a cold and generally feeling under the weather. Only food could help… and fizzy drinks. My absolute downfall and something I cannot actually abide anymore, however I needed the sugar rush to keep me going.

I really am my own worst enemy sometimes!

However, I have started this week with gusto and despite previous statements that it is best to start a diet on a Monday, I found myself starting back on Sunday and am now celebrating Day 4 of the New You Plan… with all going well so far and the scales making me happier each day. The glittery Brita Marella water filter jug we were recently sent and which will be featured in the Christmas Gift Guide has been an absolute godsend with regards to keeping me on track (glitter always helps!). It’s a joy to keep drinking the chilled, filtered water and that is what is keeping me on track… along with the staple of strong black coffee! I may have suffered slightly last night with cold shivers and a headache, however that was the sign I needed to prove my body was going into ketosis, knowing full well I would wake up today with bundles of energy… and I have!

It is still early days but I’ve come the furthest so far for a while on the Very Low Calorie Diet and I would love to get back to where I was before my summer holiday. Still a mountain to climb yet, but each little step in the right direction is a step closer to the end goal!

    Only 52 days to go?! Ugh..it’s depressing! I’d ideally like to get down some pounds in weight too ready for Christmas indulgences.. so we’ll see what happens, otherwise I’ll just have to be ‘good’ this year and restrict myself, haha!

    Yes the run up to Christmas is always so difficult because of all the parties and get-togethers so losing a bit before is a very good idea. I’m hoping to up my aerobic exercise to burn off a few extra calories as well as use the new cook book I’ve posted about.
