A couple of weeks ago Liv and I had the pleasure of visiting the new CBeebies section at the BBC Studios based in Salford Quays for a special performance of Justin’s House. Upon seeing the new studios and offices all I could think was what an amazing place to work! State of the art studios, overlooking the Quays and within a stones throw of the Lowry Outlet shopping mall! Bonus!
We were invited to a special performance of “Justin’s House” the completely new programme starring the Bafta-award winning CBeebies presenter Justin Fletcher. What made “Justin’s House” so special was the fact it is the first CBeebies show to be filmed at the new studios AND the first with a live studio audience.
You may have already seen the trailers on CBeebies for the past couple of weeks but you will finally be able to experience the show on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th October on CBeebies (Freeview Channel 71 and Sky 614) at 11am.
Each episode is 25 minutes and features Justin alongside new, very likeable characters in a very colourful ‘house’ setting. Aimed at children 3-6 years old (Liv is almost 3 and enjoyed every minute and still sings the theme tune even now!) the show features a mix of singing, dancing and comedy chaos in panto-party style. Think typical Justin! His energy astounded me and it was clear to see that he absolutely loves what he does. It’s that particular spark that makes Justin so appealing to both children and adults alike!
With special guests also appearing in the show, the studio audience and audience at home are invited to interact, play and sing along with Justin!
So remember to set your clocks and Sky+ boxes for 11am!!
CBeebies have also just re-launched the adult section of their website which offers support and advice and also allows you to interact with your child when using the site to find out how you can further their development.
The ‘Support For You’ sections shows parents and carers how CBeebies content can help them deal with everyday issues from nutrition and special needs, to first days in school or nursery and safeguarding children when they are using technology. These features have been written in consultation with healthcare, special needs and Early Years experts and give advice on where to go for further information.
