Lexus RX450h Review
Follow my travels with the luxurious Lexus RX450H Premier as I put it through its paces on the school run, trips out and about town driving. Keep up to date with #mumonthemove #lexusrx450h
What am I liking so far?
The super comfy heated leather seats, the ride uses air suspension and with 19″ alloys this makes a HUGE difference when driving down a road plagued with pot holes and bumps. There are too many buttons to press and you want to press them all at the same time! The boot is a golfer’s dream with a button inside the vehicle and on the keycard to open the boot – there is even a button in the boot to close it… personally I find it the height of laziness, but it is a great talking point! I was slightly dubious about the integral Sat Nav however within a minute I had the gist of it – everything, including the radio is controlled by a very cool joystick which makes scrolling through menu options extremely easy. The ride is smooth and the car considering its size is extremely quiet. For a 3.5l engine that is astonishing and it really does feel like you are gliding on the road. The Lexus RX450H is a hybrid so the engine does cut out when you stop, something I need to definitely get used to however it will be interesting to see fuel consumption and exactly how efficient the car is.
I think tomorrow may call for a cruise on the motorway…!
