“Cake run…” sweet music to my ears, though what if the cake could come to you? How much better would that be?
Brighten up a friend’s day with a thoughtful gift, send a cake to a loved one to celebrate their birthday or simply send a cake to yourself!
I went through the process which was very easy, in fact the hardest part was actually choosing which cake design to have! We plumped for a Father Christmas design, in keeping with the festive period. Delivery was very quick indeed and when the parcel arrived I was blown away to find the cake in a lovely, reusable tin for protection, a Christmas cracker and a little greeting card.
Getting down to the nitty gritty… the cake… a letterbox cake is large enough for 4 good sized pieces, though there is also the opportunity to order large cakes and also cupcakes.
The cake was simply delicious and the sponge was unbelievably soft. I can honestly say that it did not last long at all! The icing was the perfect thickness and not at all overbearing. The personalised message is a fabulous touch, unfortunately I wasn’t in full creative mode as you can see!
The parcel really was a lovely surprise and if you are looking for something that is a little unusual that will certainly put a smile on someone’s face, a personalised cake from Baker Days is the perfect idea! A personalised cake such this review cake is priced at £14.99. I chose the Madeira cake option, although you can choose from carrot, fruit and chocolate cake, I was also pleasantly surprised to notice a gluten and wheat free option. These options do come with an extra charge.
