It’s Christmas And The Christmas Tree is Up!

Christmas Tree

I couldn’t hold out any longer… today Liv and I put up our Christmas tree! Normally I leave it till the second weekend, though as Liv is more aware of Christmas and what it means, it was impossible not to put the tree up early.

Taking pride of place in the window, Liv keeps remarking on how beautiful the tree looks and I have to admit she did a sterling job helping me decorate the tree. Even if it did mean Liv needing to put every single bauble we have on the tree.

With a pink and gold theme this year, the tree is packed with special baubles that have sentimental value. With baubles signifying Liv’s first Christmas, I generally buy a special bauble every year. Even the dog has her own bauble! One of my oldest baubles is a fluffy, sparkly penguin I bought 11 years ago – not as impressive as a bauble my Dad has. As a Christmas Eve baby my Gran was given a bauble at the hospital which my Dad still has, I shall refrain from telling you how old the bauble is for his sake!

I wrote this post to coincide with the Nosey Bloggers Christmas tree linky featured on Frugal Family.

Thanks love!! Definitely in the Christmas spirit now, just wish I had had some mulled wine to sip whilst decorating the tree!
