There has been a slight delay with this week’s Weight Loss Wednesday, but there is still good news!! The scales were kind to me this week and informed me of a 4lb loss! I have been back on track this week and crossed my fingers for a good loss and I am absolutely delighted! After having a few days off exercising on the bike due to illness, it goes to show that jumping back on again every night really does make a difference! I am now down into my next stone level on the scales, it is fantastic news but I still kick myself for not completing the Weight Watchers diet sooner!
This week’s Weight Watchers Blogger Ambassador task looks at lunch on the go and eating out. Reverting back to my previous post on how to cope with a special occasion, my words of advice are to prepare! If you know you are going to be having lunch out with friends then go without the extra morning snack, be prepared that you may not be hungry enough to actually do dinner (tea – depending on which part of the country you are in!) any justice. Knowing when you are full and cannot eat anymore helps towards a successful dieting journey. Eating for the sake of it is what put my weight on and now I am finding that I definitely do not snack as much as I used to. If I do need to snack then I reach for fruit (mostly 0 Pro Points but do check on this) or a tasty Weight Watchers Caramel Mallow Wafer (1 Pro Point each – yes I still love them!).
You can choose the healthy option whilst dining out at lunch or you can allow yourself a treat. If you deny yourself a treat every now and then, you really do run the risk of resenting the diet you are on and then it will not be successful. I know, I have been there and was thoroughly miserable and as such the diet didn’t work as it should have done. So yes, allow yourself a portion of chunky homemade chips to share, or tuck into a chocolate brownie. Don’t beat yourself up or deny yourself – but just remember that something will have to give in order for the treat not to have a huge impact on your weight loss. If it means an extra 10 minutes on the bike then so be it! 🙂
At home I do stick religiously to my ham, WW cheese slice and salad wrap, everyday, so lunch out is a very rare treat for me. I even made one for my sister’s lunch this week and she enjoyed it as much as I do. It’s easy to know what you can get away with when choosing food from your own fridge – the food I order for my grocery shopping is carefully planned. Whilst out and about it’s hard to know how many points foods contain but an easy check on the Weight Watchers App will show if you do have enough spare points for a slice of cake!
I am hoping to build on this week’s 4lb loss and move further into my next stone category… the 2 stone loss mark is fast approaching and this week I managed to fit into a suit I have not tried on in 7 years and may just have done a little happy dance!
