I am finally owning up to it, I really cannot live without my phone. My laptop, I need, though there are times when I can happily not look at it for hours. My phone though, is checked often.
Since the days of playing Snake repeatedly on my old Nokia, I now find myself overloaded with Apps for everything I could possibly need.
The top App’s I cannot live without are:
Candy Crush: A game I am sure most people will have heard of, unless they have been living under a rock for the past few months! A Facebook favourite that is now available on iPhones and Android, the game is perfect for keeping me entertained whilst I am stood at the school gates. Comparing levels with friends has brought out my competitive side, so it’s handy to have the app on my phone to play on the go.
Met Office: So, they don’t always get the weather 100% spot on though it’s great to know what the weather is like outside before I have even stepped one foot out of bed in the mornings. The 5 day forecast is great to plan days out with Liv in advance too!
My Bank App: Where would I be without the fantastic app! Online banking makes every day life so much easier! Being able to apply for bank accounts online without having to dig out my passport to attend a meeting at my local branch is a godsend. The fact that I can search to compare bank accounts to find the one most suitable for me at my own pace and in my own surroundings is super handy. Though not as handy as actually having my bank account details in my hand! There have been times when I haven’t wanted to check my bank account and used to check through squinted eyes. With the use of my banking app I have no reason not to keep up to date and know how much I have at any particular time. If anything I have found I am probably saving money as I am more careful due to using the app.
Instagram: I have previously mentioned that I was eyeing up other camera apps available. Though I do find myself returning to Instagram every so often. The filters are great and it is easier to connect with my Social Media pages and share wonderful images with family and friends.
POF: No matter how much I moan about online dating, checking out eye candy on the go is great for brightening up boring days. The life of a single mum can sometimes be rather dull, so I have to get my cheap thrills where I can! The app has exactly the same features as the site but in mobile form, unfortunately the fact the images are slightly smaller still does not have a positive effect on some people. In fact, to the point that not even Instagram filters would help!
All the apps mentioned above are free to download and use and I would highly recommend them for every day usage. Other apps that are fantastic, especially for weight loss and tracking on the go, are MyFitnessPal and Weight Watchers, which I have mentioned in my weight loss posts.
