Disclosure: This is a sponsored post – though as always all thoughts and ramblings are all mine. If anybody feels like donating garden furniture or a garden swing to a very good cause (Liv and I!) then feel free to contact me! 😛
When I popped into the conservatory earlier in the day I couldn’t believe my eyes! The seeds I had planted with Liv and her Grandad only just over a week ago were already sprouting! I must have green fingers after all – taking a look at the pictures below you can clearly see the peas popping up and the sunflower seeds are already several inches high. I am looking at re-potting the sunflowers as they are reaching the top of the propagator. It goes to show how easy it is to grow your own vegetables – if I can do it anyone can!
From previous posts you will see note that I tend not to have a good relationship with plants – the more I leave them to it, the more they seem to thrive. Though admittedly I am rather excited about how well my seedlings are progressing.
I am already having visions of Liv and I sitting in our garden shelling peas that we have grown ourselves. With my plants coming along nicely it does not mean the rest of my garden is though. With the recent unpredictable weather I still have not been able to mow the lawn and it really is starting to resemble a jungle… even the dog is scared of going outside!
With the decision to finally treat Liv and I to some nice garden furniture this year, in the hope that we will be struggling with a tropical heat wave in the North. Hey, don’t laugh! It could actually happen! I have already been on the hunt and with spare cash a big deal breaker I have had to lower my sights from the furniture costing several thousand that I had initially been drawn to. I have already been on looking for over an hour (I do have other things to do, such as feed the dog who is currently snoring beside me – trust me, she won’t starve as she is well insulated!) I had been weighing up which table to go for when I came across the garden swing chairs as an option. So not practical in the slightest but Liv loves them and so do I!
Having a garden table and chairs, makes barbecue parties ever so slightly easier. Being the eternal optimist I think my mind is made up, we will be moaning about too much sun as opposed to the rain this summer and I plan to make every sun ray count!
