With the recent scorchio weather it has made playing out in the garden so much fun. Liv’s paddling pool has been a god send and Liv has been jumping in and out, splashing around. The only thing is it isn’t as big as I would like it to be. As the name states, it is a paddling pool and me, being the giant I am I can literally only fit my feet in there.
When Will Travelling With Children Get Easier?
I want to take Liv swimming, the thought of jumping into a nice, cool pool in this weather is delightful and would no doubt wake me up somewhat. I have been feeling quite lethargic with this wonderful weather… it may have something to do with the fact I have spent a lot of time topping up my tan in the garden.
Well it’s not as if Liv and I are going to be jetting away to Barbados any time soon is it? I have a feeling it would be an awful lot easier and lighter travelling now that Liv is older though.
Back in the day I would have had to pack huge supplies of nappies, Liv’s Splash About swim nappy, bottles, treats, clothes galore for all eventualities and numerous toys and favourite comforters. Nowadays, I literally have to pack clothes and sun cream, a magazine and some crayons and Liv is happy for hours. In fact I find it hard to remember what I used to have to pack, maybe as I put a mental block on the very long list as it was so scary.
It may have something to do with the fact she is happy playing on the iPad and watching videos on YouTube. Though whatever it is, I am grateful for the fact that travelling is now so much easier than it used to be when she was a baby. It does however mean more toilet breaks on long journeys though. Travelling with children will always be a nightmare no matter what!
