Leather Or No Leather… Chesterfield Sofa That Is

This post is brought to you in collaboration with BritishChesterfieldSofas.com

With one room down completely re-vamped, my home improvement to do list is looking slightly kinder to me at the moment. One thing that is glaringly obvious each time I look at the list though is the fact I need a new sofa. I have decided against the sofa I originally liked due to losing a seat and wasting space – so the thinking cap is most definitely placed firmly on my head again!

Having a dog who likes to jump up on our current couch, making herself extremely comfy and a 4 year old who still likes to wave colouring pens around, leather is the only option for me. Our current leather sofa is huge and is great for people visiting, though age is not treating it too well at the moment. After several attempts to refill with stuffing, I do believe the sofa is quite literally stuffed!

It’s the style that is proving hard to decide upon.

A corner sofa such as my current sofa is ideal, but, just like my men, I am beyond the normal level of fussy and have still not seen any I like.

I always have an eye out of unusual styles and my visit to the Chesterfield Hotel in Mayfair recently proved to be as interesting as it was tasty. (I fully recommend the Willy Wonka Afternoon Tea!) The bar was filled with leather Chesterfield sofas and chairs and was the epitome of sophistication just like the Chesterfield sofas for sale at BritishChesterfieldSofas.com.

Personally I used to see Chesterfield sofas as stuffy and uncomfortable however I no longer see them that way. It may actually have something to do with the fact that I too am slightly older!

There is some interesting information on the site about all the different Chesterfield styles available to you and if you are interested in finding out more out these amazingly stylish sofas visit us online for the blog of chesterfield sofas.

I honestly don’t know of I’ll ever buy a fabric sofa again, considering everything I have to clean off my leather one!

Leather all the way chick, there are generally muddy paws and sticky fingers bouncing around on mine… maybe when I am 60 I can have a fabric sofa… in white 😛 x
