Why choose Blackpool and the Lakes for your holiday home?

It’s not surprising that Blackpool and the Lakes are two of the UK’s best loved holiday destinations. From fish and chips on Blackpool pier to exploring some of Britain’s most stunning lakes and mountains, the North West has endless opportunities for family fun. And when you combine all that with a stay on a holiday park – well, you have a combination that’s hard to beat. No wonder thousands of families come back to the region year after year.

Why Blackpool?

If you’re looking for a holiday home location that you’ll be happy to revisit year after year, look no further than Blackpool. Not only does it have dozens of attractions that are open all year round, it’s also less than ten miles from two great Haven parks.

Cala Gran Caravan Park Fleetwood is just eight miles from Blackpool’s main attractions and offers a wealth of family fun on- and off-park. Enjoy the park’s heated swimming pools, 9-hole golf course and spa and then head to Blackpool Pleasure Beach to ride as many of its 125 rides as you can! It’s also home to the Pepsi max Big One – Europe’s tallest rollercoaster.

In fact, there’s so much to do in Blackpool that you won’t have enough time to get bored. Reach new heights climbing to the top of the Blackpool Tower and when you’re done, take a trip to the zoo or the circus.

Marton Mere Caravan Park is only three miles from Blackpool so if you choose this location for your holiday park, you’ll be just an hour and a half from Lake Windermere and some of Britain’s most stunning lakes and mountain scenery.

What about the Lake District?

If it’s countryside that floats your boat, then the perfect place for your holiday home is Lakeland Leisure Park. It’s just 30 minutes from Lake Windermere – the largest natural lake in the UK – and offers a tranquil setting, which is perfect for scenic walks and boat rides amongst the UK’s most breathtaking mountains and lakes.

There are also plenty of activities for you to enjoy on the park when you’re not out and about in the countryside. From heated swimming pools to sports activities and great food and drink facilities, you’ll be hard pushed to run out of things to do. What’s more, owners also benefit from their own private facilities, including an owners’ gym, pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.

I love Blackpool, it’s a great place to take all of our lot and doesn’t cost the Earth to entertain everyone for several days 🙂
