You are standing at the bus-stop in the pouring rain, with only a tiny umbrella to cover you from being utterly soaked in the Manchester rain. Time is ticking on and no bus is in sight… so what do you do? Wait it out or start moving closer to your destination whilst checking over your shoulder every so often in case a bus does finally decide to appear.
This is a dilemma that I was always faced with as a teenager, waiting on the 471 or 485 to appear. If I waited then the bus would still take its time to arrive and if I started walking down to the new bus-stop then two buses at once would suddenly appear. Fellow travellers on their way to work would drive past watching as I attempted to emulate Linford Christie (back in the day, remember people!) arms flailing, tree trunk thighs working overtime and my school bags and art folder flapping behind me in the wind. The umbrella ditched long ago!
Well imagine this same scenario 16 years later… but the buses are men…! The phrase ‘just my luck’ springs to mind! Fate really does have a weird way of striking in the most unexpected places, unexpected times etc and now I find myself with a couple of big decisions to make.
I may make them later in the week as nothing so important should be decided on a Monday!

Men are like buses ….. a favourite saying of one of my friends!
I think I might have got distracted by the Chicken and Leek parcels too …. will wait for the revelation of the big decisions with interest …..
Hoping all will be revealed soon! 😛 x
bloody buses! The chicken and leek parcels were ace weren’t they?!
The parcels were awesome, thank you so much for making them lovely!!xx
I’m a big believer that the best decisions are one that appear to make themselves known organically. So I’d be inclined to agree that yes, wait until tomorrow and sleep on it. Or Wednesday. Hope you manage to decide whatever it is and don’t lose too much sleep!
I am hoping I will know by Saturday… definitely one of those ‘watch this space’ deals… 😛 x
Yummy food has a way of making decisions easier to make that’s for sure – good thinking x
Oh it was super yummy… didn’t help with the decision making though 🙁 x
Is it because they all come at once? :p
Heheheheh – ok what have I been telling you when I’ve been drinking?!
Good luck with the decision! Definitely one to be thought about carefully, and I hope that it all becomes clear soon.
Thanks lovely lady – same here!! 🙂 x
Does this mean that there are many buses around at the moment?
There are a couple and I am unsure of which to board 😛 LOL!!x
