Catching Up After Christmas And The New Year!

by S1m

After suffering with the dreaded flu for the past few days, it’s taken me till now to realise how neglected my blog has been over Christmas and New Year!

I can’t say Christmas got off to the greatest start, with the very unfortunate and unexpected loss of my cousin – it was very weird to have a long overdue family reunion under such sad circumstances. Though it did mean we had more family visits over the Christmas period!

Christmas itself was quiet and filled with utterly delicious food and a rather lovely crappy surprise! The bloke lying bastard I was seeing at the time joined us on Christmas Day too – rather random and also rather scary as it was the whole ‘Meet The Parents’ scenario! In fairness though, him just being there was the greatest worst Christmas present I could have ever wished for 🙁

Liv had a lovely Christmas and unfortunately had to spend her birthday with her father. My parents had gone to stay at friends and I had a very quiet few days to myself… if anything it was ridiculously quiet and made me realise I do actually prefer noise in the house!

New Year was awesome crappy and the time was spent with the bloke prick I was stupid enough to deem worthy of my time, bringing in 2014… with yet again, ANOTHER argument. I am still not 100% on my New Year’s Resolutions… clearly keeping fit is a constant every year and unfortunately having the flu has meant I’ve not kick started my detox as quickly as I would have hoped… though it has meant that I am sticking to ‘Dry January!’

It’s the first working Monday of the year and I really do need to get my butt into gear on all accounts… so I shall finish this post by wishing you a very Happy New Year and let’s rock 2014 🙂

Happy New Year Sim! 🙂
It’s lovely you get to see your parents, and how brave is the bloke for meeting them on Christmas Day! Nice one 😀
