As far as competitions go this is pretty epic…
Come a little closer and let me tell you more…
Hillary’s Blinds are offering bloggers the chance to win an annual (standard) Merlin Annual Family Pass!!
Yes, I know! You read correctly!
A Merlin Annual Family Pass (worth £595) that entitles 2 adults and up to 3 children access to up to 31 attractions around the UK. Including favourites such as LEGOLAND, Alton Towers and The London Eye to name a few.
The prize is amazing… how can I enter?
It’s simple really, all you need to do is write a blog post!
‘Childrens True Colours’
That is the theme – al you need to do is explain why your child(ren) is so fascinated with a particular colour. Totally open to your interpretation of colour, but entries must capture the importance of colour through the eyes of a child!
Hillary’s also ask that you mention the competition in your post and include an image the best represents your interpretation of our theme. – See more here. Once you’ve posted your blog, you simply need to email a link to your blog to Dominic.Bryce@hillarys.co.uk. The closing date is 11.59pm on 23 June 2014.
Growing up I had the funkiest bedroom you could imagine. Lime green wallpaper with purple spots, a light purple carpet and yellow woodwork. It may sound crazy (perhaps explains why I am like I am!) but it all went together beautifully… until I was of the age when I started suffering with hangovers!
I would love to enter this amazing competition, unfortunately I cannot not… because I am a judge! Now, I am not going to tell you what my favourite colours are, however I will tell you that I like beer! #justsaying 😉
More Info and T&C’s… (The boring but important bit!)
The title of this Competition is ‘Children’s True Colours’.
The competition is open from 23rd May 2013 t0 23rd June 2014.
This theme is open to your personal interpretation but entries must capture the importance of colour in the eyes of a child. You may wish to use your own child as source of inspiration, or a child of a friend. You may not want to speak to a child at all. If you do speak to a child in relation to your entry, you must have obtained permission from that child’s parent/guardian.
All entries should include an image that reflects the subject of the article.
All entries will be judged by a panel and announced on the Hillarys website on Thursday 03 July 2014.
The judges will be looking for the article that best captures the spirit of the competition. They will consider the quality of writing, including spelling and grammar, as well how interesting and engaging the article is. The judges may take into account the amount of comments each article has generated. The judges will also consider the quality of the image that accompanies the article.
All entries must be the original work of the Entrant.
The judges’ decision is final.
