Third Week Of The 30 Day Detox… Boom!

by S1m

Well I am now starting the 3rd full week of my 30 Day detox… how am I getting on…

I have so far lost 4lbs, not much but it is a start, especially considering I have been a little lax in the exercise department. The 30 Day Ab Challenge was forgotten on the first rest day and instead I have carried on with my own situps and lunges that I was doing anyway. We did spend a lot of the weekend sitting around doing nothing when we camped at the weekend, but in all honesty I have not been drinking much at all. I even shocked Heather with my ability to say ‘Nope, I don’t fancy another beer!’

Yes, those words even shocked me, but maybe it was the 10 pints a couple of weeks ago or maybe it is due to having lost my love of alcoholic beverages recently. Whatever it is, I am definitely sticking to that side of the detox!

Men… a totally different story! I got bored on the 3rd day and decided to setup a faceless POF profile. Messages are interesting to say the least – I have attempted to beguile with my wit alone and it seems to be working in that a better calibre of men are getting in touch. The heat is on though to secure a date, an actual date, as in going out and meeting for a drink.

I had an epiphany whilst away and Heather put it all into perspective. I can continue on my current path and not get anywhere or I can actually take this whole dating shizzle seriously for once and find a decent man who does want to wine and dine me. Well maybe more dine me at the moment considering I am not drinking as much anymore.

So, going into the 3rd week, I am semi successful with the 30 Day detox and it seems I have now booked a date in for the weekend, in the time it has taken to write this post. I have a feeling today is going to be very productive indeed! Rock on!

I hope so too… everything is taken with a pinch of salt these days – there MUST be something wrong with him! 😉

That 30 day abs challenge looked like a killer – I’m positive it would have killed me lol

It was getting that way with me – am quite happy to do more situps but the leg lifts were an arse 🙁

Ohhhh I don’t think I can… I have been informed I need to take this seriously now so I doubt there will be any juicy gossip… I am on a ban 🙁 x

Ooh, isn’t that interesting, that you get nicer approaches with no profile pic. Appealing to men with a bit more substance perhaps rather than the shallow ones. I’m sure when you do get that date sorted they’ll be thrilled to find out what a stunner you are, and fingers crossed you feel the same! xx

S1m June 17, 2014 - 12:11 pm

Awww thanks lovely!! Yes, the faceless profile is certainly sorting the wheat from the chaff! Some get the irony in my profile, most do not. The ones that do tend to be able to construct a legible sentence which does help! 😉 Fingers crossed, I am optimistic to a point… prepare for the worst and hope for the best. One thing is for certain, dating sucks… and men suck too! x

Ha ha!! Thanks lovely, I was surprised too… just wasn’t feeling like another drink… what has come over me? I never refuse!
Well… Friday night will be interesting… will keep you posted 😉

I had to stop drinking, mainly because I was on tablets! The longer it has gone on the easier I find it, even to just have one or two drinks. My vice is coca cola zero, I don’t drink it all day or anything like that but I like to have a glass with ice in the evenings! Good luck carrying on the detox! xx
