Review: Zinc Chozen Stunt Scooter

by S1m

My experience of the summer holidays has been somewhat different to what most mums have had to cope with… in the fact that Liv has actually hardly been here and I have been able to enjoy a well earned rest… with a few hangovers thrown in too!

When Liv has been here though we have had great fun, going on dog walks, to the park and meeting lots of friends.

Trips to the park have been great fun as Liv has been able to zoom along on her new Zinc Chozen stunt scooter – which in theory has been great as there is much less moaning about little legs being tired!

Admittedly, it is not just Liv who has enjoyed scooting around on her Zinc scooter – as we have laminate and tiles on the ground floor of our house, I too have been able to zoom around happily and I can thoroughly recommend it for stress relief! You really cannot help by smile and laugh like a big kid!

Seriously easy to manoeuvre, Zinc claims that the Chozen scooter, part of the Team Series is ‘designed to take on the Skate Park and win’ and I can understand exactly why! Extremely light weight due to being made from Chrom-oly and Aluminium, the Chozen scooter literally pivots on a sixpence making it very easy for Liv to control and balance whilst scooting along.

With a long foot holding area, I have found Liv has been able to control the scooter and easily change her foot riding the scooter – for the more advanced, the deck can even hold both feet making it perfect as a stunt scooter!

I am no good at DIY in the slightest and assembling ‘things’ turns me into a jibbering wreck – though with only 2 main parts to assemble and allen keys included, assembling the scooter could not have been easier – to my relief!

Priced at around the £150 mark and available in a range of colours and designs, the price can seem slightly steep however for the kit you get, if you have a definite scooter enthusiast, it is well worth the money! The Zinc website does have other scooters available too! For me, as previously mentioned in this post, it has saved me a lot of earache and frankly, you cannot put a price on that!

Such a great scooter, really good for kids of all ages. Scooters are a real badge of status here amongst 10 yr old boys!

Nevermind the boys – I am using it as a status thing here too! I even roped Heather into scooting around the house on it. Such great fun and allows us adults to be allowed the freedom of being a big kid… Liv loves it too mind! 😉

We LIVE on our scooters. I haven’t heard of this one before, but it sounds like one to check out. x

I’ve been looking for a scooter for my daughter. We got her one but it turned out very hard for her to steer. Zinc probably doesn’t ship to the US though. 🙁

Not a scooter I”ve heard of before, but I’ll be on the lookout for it. LMC lives on her MicroScooter and judging by the amount of time Master C spends already riding it round my kitchen I think he’s going to be very similar!
