Home Christmas Keeping The Christmas Spirit Alive

Keeping The Christmas Spirit Alive

by S1m

There is no escaping Christmas now, for the past 3 months shops have been blaring out Christmas tunes and gifts ideas have been quite prominent.

For us this year, Christmas will be a little different as Liv will be celebrating the actual day with her Father and then we get to celebrate our own little Christmas on her return.

The magic of Father Christmas is still very much alive this year and alongside letters that have arrived addressed to Liv from Father Christmas, we have also recently been to visit him 3 times… just so that he is aware who Liv is!

I love visiting our local garden centre grotto as they really do get thoroughly into the Christmas spirit and the grotto is stunning. With lots of children’s chairs lined up, adults are able to chill on the very comfy leather couches… chill being the total wrong phrase as there are powerful outdoor heaters keeping everyone warm and toasty. Picking the latest slot possible has always proved the right time to go as there are minimal children in attendance and this time, the 3 children there had Santa’s attention for 30 minutes. It really was truly magical and I will certainly be going back there with Liv, hopefully for a couple more years.
