Weight Loss Wednesday – Week 7 #WeightLossWednesday

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Weight Loss Wednesday Week 7… admittedly I slightly caved this week and had exactly what I wanted. Being childfree for a week is a luxury I do not get often, so I really had to take the bull by the horns and enjoy myself!

I have easily been persuaded to have takeaways, have an extra bottle of Peroni on what I have already had and more and I have damn well enjoyed it. I’ve needed it – both my body and mind needed some time off from all the water and calorieΒ  counting. Though, I did walk around Manchester City Centre twice… slightly pissed, but still… twice. Just wish I had been wearing my FitBit, but it didn’t go with my outfit!!

Clearly in my drunken stupor I decided it was a good idea to take a pic of where I was/had been. Genius!! πŸ™‚

Now this is the part when normally I would drill down into what I have eaten and how much exercise I have done. Well… truth be told, I’ve probably halved the time I usually jump on my bike, only today just been back to the gym and been eating lots of lovely savoury goodies. Although I have been snacking on Pressels recently – go and check out the review for your chance to win the range of Pressels, thin & crispy pretzel snacks over at Too Many Cooks!

Naughty Sim!

Though, back on track now… I took myself off to the gym this morning and smashed my Couch 2 5K day, oh yes! My legs are feeling it now but I powered through, adjusted my speed slightly to 8.5kph and then upped it again to 9kph for the final running block and carried on. I may have been sweating buckets but hey, the two fitties on the cross trainers in front of my kept going… πŸ˜‰

I managed to complete my gym routine without bumping into the previously mentioned numpty newbie, though I had attended slightly later than normal. I really must go at that time again!

Alas… all this means I have put 1lb on… am I bothered… I care not a jot! Because I have had fun and isn’t that what it is all about? I know I can get back on it now knowing I have had a refresh and that I need to go to the gym more as it seems some new fitties have signed up!

You all know I love to go on the scales everyday… well I have seen the scales go down into my next stone bracket and then shoot up again. Totally bittersweet, but I seriously cannot stop jumping on the scales!

How have you got on this week? Have you had some time off for half term? Have you had a good weight loss week?

That’s cool, everyone is health conscious now. Just be careful in losing weight, do not skip meal. Eat on time.

Thanks Pal, I am terrible for skipping meals and am currently suffering for it as I went to the gym this morning on empty. I can be a donut!!

I really admire anyone who can get to the gym regularly. It’s okay if you cave on occasion, as long as you get back on track!

Well I am certainly back on track today and smashed it even more than I thought I would – determination certainly gets you though! πŸ™‚

I wouldn’t be surprised – however there are some new people in there I haven’t seen before – I am slightly more motivated to go to the gym than I was before… and keep running! πŸ˜‰

Definitely limited calorie counting is hard going as is eating mainly the same foods – a little break from the norm definitely refuelled the batteries πŸ™‚

Doesn’t harm you when you take some break. Just make sure to get back on track again. Not to get too used to breaks that it has become the new routine. haha πŸ™‚ Still great!

Meh I am sure it would have been fat considering how much alcohol I consumed! πŸ˜‰ Back on it this week though and about to jump on the bike again now πŸ™‚

These days I’m so lazy going to the gym, maybe it because I have no problem with fat and weight. Everything ideal.

Reply
S1m February 20, 2015 - 1:58 pm

You are very lucky Mazino – however even if I had my ideal body, still think I would go to the gym as it does get me out of the house!

This week is Chinese New Year, with the festive and celebration going on its very hard for me to control my food intake. Every meal is a feast. I will detox after the celebration.

Reply

I can imagine it is! Ack wish I could enjoy Chinese New Year too – best I stay away from Manchester though, there will be too much food I want to try! Enjoy and have fun! x

Reply
Tiffany Yong February 19, 2015 - 4:06 pm

It’s the Chinese New Year period and I lost all motivation to do my weight loss! However, I’m eating in the moderation and hopefully, not gain so much weight when the festive period is over!

I know this journal can be hard sometimes, 4 years ago I lost a lot of weight and it was a long journal… but it made me stronger and more confident, remember, its ok to eat what you want sometimes.. you gotta balance it out and love yourself! Don’t ever punish yourself!

Reply
S1m February 20, 2015 - 1:54 pm

Absolutely! The balancing is the key and to lose weight slow and steady is the most successful way to lose weight and keep it off!

I guess you deserve some off time too even on weight loss as your body would also need to be pampered sometimes. I’m currently on offseason mode after finishing my full marathon earlier this month.

Reply
S1m February 20, 2015 - 1:52 pm

You deserve time off Franc, our bodies albeit awesome, do need some time off every now and then. I’ve not suffered too badly for having time off – back on it now πŸ™‚

Reply
eliz frank February 20, 2015 - 1:49 pm

Not to worry, you are allowed to take breaks and then get back in track. 1lb gain is no problem, you probably lost it again at your workout. Keep up the good work.

I love the way you said “I care not a jot!” What a very British expression. Cute. I think I want to use it in actual conversation. Hehe.

Go ahead and use it Fred!! I love using ye olde English expressions, people do not expect them at all! I was also being very diplomatic! πŸ˜‰

Hey we all need a week off sometimes! I’ve been in Prague all week so my fitness and weight loss regime has completely gone skew-whiff! But sod it.

Back on track now! Glad you had a great enjoyable week off.

S1m February 23, 2015 - 12:22 pm

Sod it indeed! When you are away you need to enjoy to the fullest – especially somewhere like Prague which is stunning! Hope you enjoyed!xx

Everyone deserves a bit of time off when on a diet – however you choose to spend it. 1lb is not a big gain at all!! Sorry I didn’t link last week – will be back with you on Wednesday πŸ™‚ x

I took a week off running over half term and went on holiday instead. I think we all deserve a break and a treat other wise what is there to live for? You are doing amazingly well. Thank you for joining Linked

Reply
S1m February 25, 2015 - 1:44 pm

My sentiments exactly! I would rather allow my body to have a treat every now and then and learn to maintain the weight as opposed to losing a lot of weight quickly and then not being able to maintain the weight when I reach my goal. Hope you had a fantastic holiday!xx

We fluctuate so much 1lb is nothing, I have a take-away each week and I’ve never found that it impacted on my loss but I always found that if I’d had alcohol it would look like I’d gained the next day but slithered away again the next day after plenty of water!
I love when I can get out to Manchester to shop, someday’s I’ve got close to 20,000 steps, knackering but worth it. My fitbit is permanently on my bra which is handy.

I’m sure you’ll do great but good luck for this week!
