Weight Loss Wednesday Linky – Week 13 #WeightLossWednesday

by S1m
Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Howdey, welcome to the Weight Loss Wednesday Linky… Week 13… another month down and moving into April now… are your goals changing this month? Check out Weight Loss Wednesday Week 12 or fast forward to Weight Loss Wednesday Week 14 for a progress update!

After making the decision to ‘simply run’ last week, I have carried on with this training as opposed to following the C25KI app. It seems to be working as on Friday I ran for longer and on Monday I decided to even run at an incline.

I seemed to have found a comfortable speed of 8.2kph, which for the last minute I feel I can run, will be upped to extend the legs even more.

Who knew I would enjoy it so much!

Though after reading Urban Mumble’s post on the linky last week about stomach muscles, I have changed my ‘after running weight routine’ (yes, that really IS what I have called it!). No longer am I doing stomach crunches, however I have added in the Lat pull-down. My arms are rocking at the moment but I really now need to target my core and get rid of the ‘mum tum/ beer buldge/ wine wedge’ – it’s a combination of all three! So will be trying more targeted exercises alongside running this week.

Food wise, I honestly have been all over the shop and even added in a bottle of wine… totally justified I assure you! Though still, throughout everything, I have managed to lose 1lb this week – yey! Total loss being 1 stone and 4lbs so far. It seems to be taking ages, though I am noticing a big difference in how my clothes are fitting me these days… I really do need some new clothes… and people are being vocal about the weight loss… so something must be working.

CLIF BAR

I have needed a little help this last week though in the form of CLIF bar Shot Blocks… in Blackberry, they are stunning! Like a huge chewy Blackcurrant sweet, they are divine and I cannot wait to try one of the gels in their range to see how much further I can run!

My knee, as expected as been twinging ever so slightly though with the use of my sports bandage and lots of FLEXISEQ sport joint gel, it is getting me through running. I do not want to get to the point of spraining the same knee again so am taking every precaution I can to react as quickly this time… as opposed to just running through the pain – I really do not want to be set back again, especially when everything is going so well at the moment.

How is your weight loss/training routine going this week? Have you changed anything? Are people noticing how well you are doing on your journey?

There are no real rules with #WeightLossWednesdayany type of fitness/ running/ weight loss/ healthy eating related posts or recipes go – but it would be appreciated if you could comment on at least TWO other entries into the link up – keep support going… it’s a hard journey and sometimes some of us just need words of wisdom from others going through it! It sounds like you are doing amazingly, like Lisa I know that I need to find time for more exercise. I’m hoping with some better weather on the horizon we can get some good walks in (particularly as R is training for the 3 peaks!).

A loss of 1st 4lb is amazing – definitely treat yourself to some new clothes, I bet it will make you feel even better and help you push yourself more too!

Awww thanks lovely!! Incentive clothes would be awesome, I have some amazing clothes in my wardrobe, just can’t get in them yet – soon though if I carry on at this rate! My fingers are crossed for nicer weather too – everything is set for me to start running outside now… squee!! Let’s do this!

I should probably join #WeightLossWednesday next week. I was on a vacation last February. With my grandmother passing away last March, we always had guests and my Mom’s sister stayed with us for three weeks so there were always so much food. I’ve been slowly trying to get back into the groove. I’m back to eating my healthy stuff and I’m now working on exercising again. Wish me luck!

Awww good luck chick! Things do seem to roll into one, I am so sorry to hear about your Grandmother.
You can do this though and it would be lovely for you to join in and be inspired! 🙂 x

Reduce your vigorous exercises so that you don’t overwork and injure your joints. Once they are injured, it will take you way longer to recover!
