The Easter holidays are either at a close, or are coming to a close and what a long holiday it has been… however the weather is looking up which makes it easier to exercise outside, enjoy long walks and also relax in the garden with a cold beer… I digress…
This last week has been freakin’ awesome and also not in equal measure. Getting it out of the way. I am the same weight I was last week… am I bothered… no! Why?
- My best mate and her family came to stay with us.
- We ate LOTS of corned beef pie.
- We drank lots of Pepsi Max (tsk! tsk!).
- We did diddly squat.
- I hadn’t been to the gym in over a week.
- I also had a Burger King last night after meeting a mate and realising I hadn’t eaten in 9 hours.
So, what that list tells you is, I have been eating and drinking what I want, haven’t been moving enough and also that I can easily skip meals by forgetting to eat. Mini me is away this week so I am literally running down the fridge. If I have to spend the next couple of days on CuppaSoup and Chicken Noodles, I will. Weight loss has not exactly been at the top of my priority list for once – it can get a little addictive!
However, the good news is, I am back on water now. I realised it is nice to have a fizzy drink every so often but by gosh did it make me bloat up. How I felt after drinking the Pepsi Max, is what I need to remember anytime I attempt to reach for a fizzy drink.
It was lovely to spend time with Beth, which is why I was happy to take some time off, but there was no feeling like getting back in the gym on Saturday. That was hard work and my knee afterwards let me know it was still attached to me. A little easier this week and I am back into running again. I have no choice now that I am all signed up to Race For Life with my own Just Giving page – I was rather excited about that!
This next week I shall be hitting the gym more and generally moving more, my eating will become more regulated when Mini Me is back where she belongs and I shall keep drinking the water. The weight is coming off… I surprised Jenny at The Brick Castle this week with half naked shots of me from last year and this year. Just need to kick it up again so I can jump over this 1 stone 6lbs loss so far this year!
I need to tell you more about the New Me weight loss program, obviously last week was my first week on it. Not the greatest week to start and clearly it hasn’t worked, because I haven’t worked at it… but it has given me inspiration this week. More about that tomorrow!
