Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday Linky Week 15, how have you all been this week? Check out Weight Loss Wednesday Week 14 or fast forward to Weight Loss Wednesday Week 16 for a progress update!

The Easter holidays are either at a close, or are coming to a close and what a long holiday it has been… however the weather is looking up which makes it easier to exercise outside, enjoy long walks and also relax in the garden with a cold beer… I digress…

This last week has been freakin’ awesome and also not in equal measure. Getting it out of the way. I am the same weight I was last week… am I bothered… no! Why?

Because:

  • My best mate and her family came to stay with us.
  • We ate LOTS of corned beef pie.
  • We drank lots of Pepsi Max (tsk! tsk!).
  • We did diddly squat.
  • I hadn’t been to the gym in over a week.
  • I also had a Burger King last night after meeting a mate and realising I hadn’t eaten in 9 hours.

So, what that list tells you is, I have been eating and drinking what I want, haven’t been moving enough and also that I can easily skip meals by forgetting to eat. Mini me is away this week so I am literally running down the fridge. If I have to spend the next couple of days on CuppaSoup and Chicken Noodles, I will. Weight loss has not exactly been at the top of my priority list for once – it can get a little addictive!

However, the good news is, I am back on water now. I realised it is nice to have a fizzy drink every so often but by gosh did it make me bloat up. How I felt after drinking the Pepsi Max, is what I need to remember anytime I attempt to reach for a fizzy drink.

Weight Loss Wednesday

Lovely walk with the pooch!

It was lovely to spend time with Beth, which is why I was happy to take some time off, but there was no feeling like getting back in the gym on Saturday. That was hard work and my knee afterwards let me know it was still attached to me. A little easier this week and I am back into running again. I have no choice now that I am all signed up to Race For Life with my own Just Giving page – I was rather excited about that!

This next week I shall be hitting the gym more and generally moving more, my eating will become more regulated when Mini Me is back where she belongs and I shall keep drinking the water. The weight is coming off… I surprised Jenny at The Brick Castle this week with half naked shots of me from last year and this year. Just need to kick it up again so I can jump over this 1 stone 6lbs loss so far this year!

I need to tell you more about the New Me weight loss program, obviously last week was my first week on it. Not the greatest week to start and clearly it hasn’t worked, because I haven’t worked at it… but it has given me inspiration this week. More about that tomorrow!

How has your week been?

A week off worrying about the food/exercise is great for recharging the batteries and a no gain sounds like a great result to me, after a week of chilling. I still drink diet coke as my not-so-naughty treat but I’d never thought about it making me bloat so I should skip it for a while to see.

I also wanted to thank you for your inspiring comment on my Sunday weigh-in post. I was very chuffed (and laughed out loud) so today, I upped to 30 minutes on the wii fit and covered nearly 6km (well, I didn’t, I was running on the spot but that’s what it told me !). I was feeling very virtuous so thanks for the encouragement ! 🙂 xx

I don’t get to see Beth often and her mum had sent them with a stonking corned beef pie – especially for me, but I shared it with everyone as I am too kind! 😉
Yesssssss, the fizzy drinks certainly make me bloat, a few days of drinking water and the difference is amazing!

Awww chick, you are doing so well!! You go lady! xx

Would you have really been able to eat ALL of the corned beef pie?

Seriously though, well done on no gain lovely!

😀 Well, when someone says, “here look at these photo’s”, I was expecting LIv or the dog, or a car or something 😀
However you could very clearly see a massive difference, and I look forward to the day you’ve got the 3rd photo in that collection to show us. You can do it 🙂

Thanks so much Sarah, it was an awesome week! 🙂 Lovely to have my buddy up for a couple of days! Fizzy drinks definitely bloat me, trying to stay away from them as best I can – water all the way!

Sounds like an awesome week, sometimes a week off is what you need.

Thinks here are still up in the air. I’m contemplating joining a SW class but still deciding.

I’m not thinking about anything diet wise till after my birthday which is a fortnight away. I’m just going to relax not get het up about it and then fresh start when I turn 21,13 xx

Oh yes, however it does mean I now need to invest in nice new lingerie if I am going to be showing pictures to everyone! 😉
The time off was fab and even better for the fact I shared the time with my bestest mate! 🙂

Taking time off the weight loss and exercise can do you a world of good. It makes you realise what a difference it makes and gives your system a kick start! Good luck for the coming week. xx

Absolutely – I have taken too much time off though and need to get back on track if I wish to hit my target by the end of the year. No more dilly dallying around!xx

I think a week off now and again is a must – and even better if you can do it without having a gain! Have a great week.
