New Me Weight Loss Program – What Is It All About?

If you have been catching up with my Weight Loss Wednesday posts recently you will have noticed I mention the New Me weight loss program in conjunction with The Sun.

What is it all about?

New Me is a well thought out weight loss program that you can tailor to your specific fitness levels, calorie intake and weight loss requirements.

Although I did sign up last week, I didn’t properly look into the diet and was amazed that I was allowed 2,400 calories per day! What?! How on earth am I ever to lose weight – however I hadn’t actually noticed that I could change my daily calorie intake myself… *ahem*.

The weekly meal plans are an awesome idea and something I should have started a long time ago in order to budget properly and keep to a strict regime. As you can see from the image below, all the meals are ridiculously tasty – with easy to follow recipes for your 3 meals per day and a convenient shopping list detailing every food item you need to make the week’s meals, it is a really handy tool for a shopper on the go.

The fitness plan is really easy to follow with step by step guides featuring videos so you can ensure you are performing the exercise correctly to maximise the overall benefit. I am not strictly going off this fitness plan as I am training for my first 5k race and have a particular gym and at home fitness program that I am sticking to. Though the ‘easy to complete at home’ exercises I will most certainly be doing as I need to start strengthening my core and I have a feeling that ‘The Pointer’ exercise will help.

I love the fact you can track all your daily food and drink intake into the New Me program, it helps keep a track of what you are eating and where you are going right… or wrong! Personally I find tracking helps me, it spurs me on and as someone who competes against herself, finds this kind of data ridiculously interesting.

Why am I doing New Me?

Because sometimes you need a helping hand to continue working hard on a weight loss journey – with an almost 1 and 1/2 stone loss this year alone behind me, it is very easy to get stuck  in a rut and the support of the New Me community is fantastic – you are all in the same boat, with similar goals and can keep yourself and others motivated on your weight loss journey. I really do thrive from a structured routine, which is why New Me appeals to me, however there is room for improvisation and adding in your own routine and meals.

The New Me program costs £10 per month and has a great community vibe to it. I am going to give it a real shot this week and look forward to the results of my hard work!

New Me sounds great, although, like 99.9% of other weight loss programmes it isn’t suitable for pregnant women!

Sounds like a great program!! I always needed that extra help when trying a weight loss routine! It always helps to have assistance from pros or just a program that can help guide you and keep you on track! Keep up the great work 🙂

It’sgood you can manually adjust the calories, I ca’nt imagine losing much weight eating that much unless I spent all day exercising! You’re doing grand love, keep it up 🙂

Meal planning certainly does help – keeps you on track from straying too. I am hopeless – I will decide on what to eat in the morning and easily change my mind by the afternoon!
