Weight Loss Wednesday Linky – Week 16 #WeightLossWednesday

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Week 16 of Weight Loss Wednesday… who knew it would last this long hey?! Check out Weight Loss Wednesday Week 15 or fast forward to Weight Loss Wednesday Week 17 for a progress update!

I will hold my hands up and admit I am flagging now. The ‘want’ of jumping on the bike 3-4 times a day has waned and instead of eating 3 sensible meals a day I would rather skip breakfast and have one and a half meals a day. Terrible I know, though the one thing that has stayed on track is my gym routine, I’ve even added more weights to my sessions. Which has resulted in a noticeable protruding collarbone… which would be cool if I could shake my ass.

With a boost being needed to keep the momentum going… (35lbs to go!) I made a really random decision over the weekend. Weekends generally aren’t a good time for me to come up with a plan, I should know this from previous experience.  I purchased Charlotte Crosby’s 3 Minute Belly Blitz. I know, I know, how could I? But seriously, something needs to be re-jigged and the butt and belly reduced!

Things have to step up a gear now though as amazing parcels arrived this week, meaning I can finally get outside running!

The stunning Suunto Ambit 3 Run GPS Watch – now I can calculate how far I have run and how long it has taken. Just hoping that it has a jet propulsion button somewhere. There will be posts on the Run GPS Watch and how the #Ambit3 is helping me train!

My number. Very scared. It is real. I am doing this. Help!

Gym sessions have been great, eating has been hit and miss and I wasn’t feeling positive about weight loss yet this week I managed to lose 1lb! Taking my total weight loss to 1 stone and 7lbs – get in!! Pretty awesome considering I did have a steak butty lunch (with a pint) whilst sitting in a pub garden with the lovely The Brick Castle, Red Rose Mummy and That Lancashire Lass. It was gym day and quite honestly, I could have eaten a scabby horse, anyone else feel like that when they have been running? Learning to lose weight, yet enjoy yourself at the same time is a very fine line to find and this weight loss journey is a definite learning curve for me with food and my attitude towards it.

What about you? Have you learned anything about yourself whilst on a weight loss journey? Have you made any alterations that you have kept to?

Cool watch you have there! It will guide and help you in your daily activities.

S1m April 22, 2015 - 12:27 pm

Thanks Pal… so much more than a watch! It will record all the data for my run training so expect many pictures! 😀

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:42 pm

Oh yes, it is specifically for running, however other options can be added to it via the Suunto software and included cable.

chantelle hazelden April 22, 2015 - 1:09 pm

I’m the same re food and exercise. I try to exercise on the same days/times to make myself do it. Food wise I keep letting the treats slip in, it is so hard to find a happy balance isn’t it. ps I have the 3 minute belly blitz and actually enjoy doing it 🙂

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:38 pm

Ohhh you are the first person I know who has it and has used it! Fab, will definitely pop it in later and give it a go! I am a huge fan of going to the gym first thing – have tried later on in the afternoon and have lost all motivation by that point – however gym first thing keeps me pumped all day! 🙂 x

Pooja KaWatra April 22, 2015 - 2:04 pm

I am just using a pedometer but this watch looks very good. On the food side I just keep my sweet intake on the lower side and less carbs.

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:35 pm

My problem is that I do love bread too much. I have a freezer full of Weight Watchers food so need to get back on that and take it easy in order to lose weight for the summer!

Danessa Foo April 22, 2015 - 3:04 pm

I love what you said about learning to lose weight and enjoying yourself at the same time. I do agree with you, it’s a fine line staying hyped about the whole process. But hey! You’re doing awesome so far! 16 weeks!! Hang in there 😀

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:34 pm

Thank you Danessa! Yes, it is vital you find the fine line – weight loss can easily become an obsession but it can also feel like a chore for the wrong reasons. Will definitely be keeping on in there!

Hamdaad hamza April 22, 2015 - 3:42 pm

superb watch you have there

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:33 pm

Thank you so much! It is stunning – so many options too, really do need to consult the manual. So excited to use it and get out and about!

Mia Foo April 22, 2015 - 4:23 pm

press on for your weight loss journey! the watch sounds like a good buy for those who loves running. perhaps you can do a review on it?

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:32 pm

The review will be coming soon, don’t you worry! It has only just arrived and as yet have not had chance to use it – bear with me! I am keeping on just need a little shake up – the GPS watch is going to change things as I will be able to get out and about and enjoy the lovely weather and scenery more now! 🙂

tracee April 22, 2015 - 4:53 pm

I don’t have a favorite work out routine

Betty and the Bumps April 22, 2015 - 5:08 pm

I feel as if I’m flagging too but, unlike you, I’m not brave enough to sign myself up for something to force me to get on with it. Maybe I should?! Good Luck with this week. x

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:30 pm

It maybe worthwhile to have a little change or alter something to keep going. It’s hard but I’m much closer to my target than I was at the start of the year!

Hanniz April 22, 2015 - 5:37 pm

It’s not easy keeping the momentum but hang in there!

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:28 pm

Thank you so much! It is tough to keep going – once you are in for the long haul, you need to keep on at it – somewhat closer than I was 16 weeks ago! 😀

Amber Ludwig April 22, 2015 - 6:15 pm

Yay!! You will do so great!! I know Im supposed to be commenting with my workout routine but I sure don;t have one lol.

S1m April 22, 2015 - 6:28 pm

You are a star, thank you! 🙂 Hope so, need to take it day by day instead of looking at the bigger picture!

Tiffany Yong April 22, 2015 - 8:36 pm

Wow, your journey has almost become like an obsession! I’m not complaining of course, to be able to see you experience so many cool stuff and share with us

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:40 am

Thanks so much Tiff! It has, which is why I have needed a bit of time off – weight loss can be come quite addictive but a new lease of life now! 😀

Jenny @ The Brick Castle April 22, 2015 - 9:02 pm

Shhh, don’t tell everyone we went to the pub for lunch, they’ll think wehave nothing to do all day! 😀

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:39 am

Or that we have other friends! 😉 Ha ha ha!! It was a lovely afternoon out and it was great for everyone to meet up again!x

david d April 23, 2015 - 12:08 am

You’ve got to keep it going, to reach your final goal. I know I’ve been there. There’s always the temptation to slack off and cheat!!!

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:38 am

No way am I slacking off now – influx of hot men at the gym this week means I am stepping it up!! 🙂

LaToya April 23, 2015 - 12:54 am

Looking forward to reading more on your new watch. I use a Garmin Forerunner 10 to track my distance and pace.

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:37 am

The Garmin 10 is cool, looks pretty and has all the info – the Suunto Ambit 3 is much more advanced though – you will have to come back for the review! 😉

Ayesha April 23, 2015 - 6:03 am

I want the watch too! Review on this please 🙂
Glad to read the progress and I am so jealous I wish I have more time for my Gym sessions :/

Good luck!

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:34 am

The review will be live next week! Ahhh my gym sessions will be more frequent now… there appears to be an influx of ridiculously good looking men at the gym this week… will be back there again tomorrow! 😉

phyliciamarie April 23, 2015 - 10:26 am

Congrats on your improvements! You do have to eat right though, skipping is really not doing you any good. Anyhoo, how muh did you get your Suunto Ambit for?

S1m April 23, 2015 - 11:31 am

Thank you so much! I know, I am terrible and I do need to start having breakfast again in order to kick start my day properly.
The Suunto Ambit 3 is for review – Suunto have faith in me to get this right and run my butt off!

Katrina Centeno April 23, 2015 - 1:12 pm

I have been religiously exercising in Feb until work and travel got in the way in March. I am slowly going back into a regular exercise routine. I have yet to adjust my food intake. So far, I am happy with the result.

Natalie / UEM April 23, 2015 - 4:41 pm

I am yet to find the motivation to exercise, and I have just eaten some chocolate fudge but the attitude to food has definitely changed and I’m starting to notice my body shape changing.

Never heard of the 3 min belly blitz! You’ll have to do a review 😉

Karen April 23, 2015 - 4:51 pm

I’m starting to shed some weight, can you recommend a workout that will work for a month?

david drew April 23, 2015 - 5:50 pm

In my case, I cut out the JUNK FOOD and the DESSERTS.and got up off my butt and I walk every day.

S1m April 23, 2015 - 6:55 pm

Well done to you! I think cutting out smoking and drinking has been enough of a shock to my system… so if I want a piece of Lemon Drizzle cake, I shall. Just means I need to work a little harder in the gym! 😉

Maureen April 24, 2015 - 1:52 am

Love the watch, girly! And you are doing awesome I am so proud of you. Seeing the number gets me all giddy and excited for you.

S1m April 24, 2015 - 11:51 am

Awww thanks Maureen! 🙂 Thank you for popping by, and for Wellness Wednesday going live this week – have missed you!
The GPS watch is stunning, but so detailed – lots of bedtime reading! The number is getting there slowly – still another 2 and a half stone to go and I would love to lose a stone before my race. Will keep on at it! 🙂 xx

Papaleng Pagulong April 24, 2015 - 4:03 am

Be of brave heart, press on with your fitness regimen. you can do it!

S1m April 24, 2015 - 11:49 am

Thank you so much! A lovely sentiment! I was back at the gym today, without a rest day, have changed my breathing for running and everything is holding out. If anything, I am going to have epic arm muscles from the weights! 😉

3xhcch April 24, 2015 - 9:56 am

Flagging is really a problem in any serious endeavor. But I guess with this blog diary you are keeping, you will definitely try your best to keep to the schedule and succeed!

S1m April 24, 2015 - 11:48 am

You bet your sweet ass I will! 🙂 I would ideally like to lose another stone before my race – any more would be a bonus!

anita April 24, 2015 - 10:14 am

I’ve started working out (to prepare myself for summer) and m doing a mixture of exercise, from pilates to yoga!

S1m April 24, 2015 - 11:47 am

Never fancied pilates but definitely will look into yoga when I am closer to my target weight – fantastic for toning up – have fun and enjoy!

franckxethee April 24, 2015 - 10:59 am

I’m using Ambit 2S though used Ambit 3 peak for my marathon. It’s really very useful and handy.

S1m April 24, 2015 - 11:46 am

Oh yey!! I didn’t know anyone else who had one – proper chuffed you use Suunto too! 🙂

Nicola@twinmummyyummy April 24, 2015 - 9:58 pm

You are doing great. 16 weeks is a long time to stick to it. I can’t even manage 16 mins at the minute. It is difficult to go to the pub and be good though. 1lb off better than one on!

S1m April 26, 2015 - 12:18 pm

Thank you so much Nicola – you can do it chick! Noticing the weight loss is a big boost and keeps you going!

Lee Dixon April 26, 2015 - 3:08 am

My favorite workout routine is going on a bike ride to warm up and then doing crunches. I love being able to swim at night the same day.

S1m April 26, 2015 - 12:11 pm

Wow! You like to keep busy with workouts! I do need to go swimming more often, I just get bored!

Rina April 26, 2015 - 5:32 pm

I actually have started my own weekly weight loss journey last year but it didn’t go down as planned -_-‘ You are my inspiration Sim!

Fatemah Sajwani April 26, 2015 - 8:14 pm

That’s such a cool watch. Congrats on the milestone dear.

Urban Mumble April 27, 2015 - 12:22 pm

I never thought I could get addicted to working out but it looks like I’m not the only one. If I don’t strength train it’s like my body starts itching. I just have to squat and pump!!!

S1m April 27, 2015 - 5:05 pm

Yeah I am totally not in a good place if I don’t go to the gym! I didn’t go today as had an appointment but will be there tomorrow, Thurs and Friday again. Cannot wait! 🙂

Sarah Howe (@RunJumpScrap) April 27, 2015 - 5:53 pm

Keep at it! You will ace the run and weights really do help! Hope you enjoyed chilling in the pub and not feeling too guilty – need some fun too ! xx #bloggingtojogging

Sunny April 28, 2015 - 4:47 pm

I always like to do push ups 🙂

Mrs. AOK April 28, 2015 - 5:01 pm

You are doing wonderfully! I’m so happy for you. 🙂
Somedays I surprise myself with my “want” to workout. I’m seeing some improvements, but not enough to get too excited. Keep it up!!

Michelle S April 29, 2015 - 4:30 am

I keep breakfast the same every day to keep the routine going.

Hannah April 29, 2015 - 8:48 pm

I’ll look forward to seeing how you get on with your new watch because I’d love something like that. Thanks for linking up with #BloggingToJogging xx

S1m April 30, 2015 - 5:16 pm

Thanks chick! The Suunto Ambit 3 Run will be getting its first proper outing at BlogOnMOSI on Saturday! 😉

Sharon - Beauty, Miscellany April 30, 2015 - 10:56 pm

I fully get what you’re saying, everything takes time to do properly sometimes a short cut would be nice, at least for a boost. I do sometimes go down the route of having two meals at the weekend due to getting up a little later I prefer to go for a brunch, I used to try and squeeze and extra meal in but it always felt stuffed down!

Betsy Barnes May 1, 2015 - 1:04 am

Very cool watch! Would love this on my daily walks, twice a day is my favorite workout routine. 🙂

Morgan Prince May 15, 2015 - 2:12 pm

I think it is so tough to lose weight and still eat all the food you enjoy. What I’ve learned is that there’s some food that I thought I enjoyed that actually I didn’t. It was all just for comfort. I do still crave all the bad stuff but less so now. I have my eye on the goal and can’t slip. 😉
