Weight Loss Wednesday Linky week 17, here we come… or maybe not. Check out Weight Loss Wednesday Week 16 or fast forward to Weight Loss Wednesday Week 18 for a progress update!

Last time I check I had put a 1lb on, screw the scales. It has been one of those weeks! In some slight pain so on antibiotics and painkillers… I’ve still been able to hit the gym 3 times this past week which has been awesome.

Flexiseq Sport Gel, I’ve mentioned it before as I have been using it for my knee, but it’s only recently that I have noticed it actually dulling my knee pain so that I forget about it. I have been using that on my side too this week and it certainly helped me to train easily enough at the gym.

As yet the Suunto Ambit 3 remains unused… because just as I am ready with everything I need, the weather takes a turn for the worse and now we have hail and rain. Unfortunately not the great start I was expecting, so bear with me!

Eating, eating, eating… oh my days, I have been chomping this week. Foods to cheer me up as opposed to anything and now I am paying the price. My food shopping is being delivered today and I have gone back to ‘old school’ tactics… Tracking my weight and the basic foods I was eating at the start of this journey. It worked then and it can work again! It has to, I am not prepared to throw away all my hard work, I still have my goal to achieve and I will reach my target!

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Weekends are the hardest time for food , it is quite easy to succumb to all the sweet treats especially when child are around… you know, helping them out slightly!

However I shall this week be tracking my food again, calorie counting and going back to basics – they gym work is going well, I need to get back on the bike slightly more and finally do the Charlotte Crosby DVD. I have been utterly useless recently!

Funnily enough, I’ve gone back to basics too – listening to my slimpod and food tracking, which I’d stopped doing. Still carrying on with the wii fit too (although it’s gone to pot a bit this week as the kids are off) ! We’ll get there eventually !

Definitely! The gym sessions are awesome and I am pushing myself more, but as we know, weight loss is more about what we put in than exercise (80/20).
I had lost my way with tracking, starting again on it now and WW dinner for me… rock n roll! Hope you are ok chick!x

I “help out” Gwenn FAR too much; leftovers (or just plain theft) is one of my biggest downfalls, without a shadow.

Fluctuating by a pound here or there really doesn’t mean much but I totally get why you were annoyed. It really gets to me if I’ve had the smallest gain. I’m rubbish at taking my own advice! x

Absolutely it’s damn annoying, however totally deserved. Healthier fridge this week, no takeaways and I will be sensible, especially with the Bank Holiday!

Sometimes I think you need a bad week to really kick you up the back side. A bad week is what you make of it, you can either feel like you’ve failed or you can jump back up and get back on with it. You know how to take this and turn it around, have faith.

Yeah, I just really don’t want to fall back into bad habits, especially as I am doing so well with my training and gym routine. The weather is nicer now though so perfect for salads and light eating. I will get back on it, I am too stubborn not to!x

I wouldn’t be too concerned with the extra pound. Could just be fluids. When I was on a diet I only weighed myself once a week, and each time was as soon as I got out of bed and relieved myself. LOL!

Ha ha ha you have my morning weigh in routine down there! 😉 Yes, no unfortunately not water retention, I know I have been scoffing and it is my own fault. Being better behaved this week though so fingers crossed it easily falls off again for a nice surprise next week! 🙂

I am diabetic and about 50 pounds overweight…and I have been making resolutions each year to start eating properly and getting back into an excercise routine..but I live alone and have no real incentive or knowledge on how to do so properly…thank you for the assisstance

I know what you mean about weekends being challenging. I try to head out to my local farmers market every Saturday, it motivates me to eat healthy with all the fresh fruits and veggies. 🙂

the sports gel you mentioned, is it for ‘rusty’ knee joints that brings dull pain when exercising? I’m facing that knee problem too and it’s affecting my performance during spinning and even yoga and pilates classes. some poses bring aches to my knees and I couldn’t exercise properly. 🙁

It is Mia! Flexiseq Sports gel is fantastic – I didn’t notice it helping at first, you really do have to let it dry – I used it the other week knowing how bad my knee was, 10 minutes later got up from being seated and my knee didn’t hurt! Awesome!

Since I was diagnosed with diabetes about 11 months ago, I quit everything and just sat around in my retirement. Now 28 pounds later, and after a very serious bout with pneumonia..I realize I have to start an exercise regime again..I have maintained my membership at the YWCA, so it is about the time to start..thank you for your inspiration.

Cool! Weight Watchers is a fantastic start – or Slimming World – I don’t know what diets are available to you but generally cutting down on calories, sweet treats etc tends to help straight away!

It’s not easy keeping yourself on your toes all the time (and it won’t help in the happy sector too!), sometimes, you just need to take things slow and get back into the momentum again

Definitely feeling like going back to basics, I think I have too much variation with what I eat, not that variety is bad, but in the evening I could just do with a handful of good, healthy, low calories options for Monday to Friday rather than deciding what I fancy on the evening! It sounds like you’ll be back on track pretty soon!

It’s not really about how much you eat, but what you’re eating. I find a lot of my slim friends have huge healthy appetites but only for healthy meals. No fast food, junk food, refined sugar, etc. Eating right with exercise really helps. Never give up! You can do it!

I am a big fan of salads and they make you feel fresh and full.one thing I have learnt more you crave more you tend to eat. Small portions and balance diet with some exercise is a perfect day start.

It’s that balance of eating well and having some enjoyment. I’d do 80/20 – be good all week and have some sweets at the weekend! lol. 3 gym trips sound pretty good though!! x
