Welcome to the Weight Loss Wednesday linky – Week 20!
Thank you so much to those who have linked up so far, throughout the last 20 weeks – everyone’s journey is completely different, every diet, exercise plan and overall target, but the support has been the same no matter what. I appreciate all the lovely, motivating comments I have received and hope you feel that linking up is helping you on your journey too!
Right, soppy stuff out of the way *ahem*, let’s crack on with this week.
Last week, I gave myself the week off to ‘right’ myself, it gave my knee a much needed and deserved rest and also appears to have healed my kidney and back pain… awesome! Going back to the gym after a week off though was very challenging. as legs feel like they do not wish to move and you feel all out of sync. Monday was made easy by the fact I was running in my new trainers, choosing a half size larger seems to have paid off and numb toes are a thing of the past. I am still struggling to beat the 3k mark though – I’m hoping that a run out in the great outdoors will see to this later in the week, when I finally venture outside in the continued quest to train for Race For Life!
Eating, it had been ok… until my evening meal last night, when I totally gave in after what felt like an endless day and ordered a takeaway. Having been good, I’m angry with myself for relenting but nothing was going to motivate me to cook… I had reached the ultimate mental block and I literally CBA. I really do not want to step back into old habits again so really need to give myself a talking to. Lots of water and black coffee has been consumed this last week – with a little unexpected hiatus on Saturday – a few more bottles of wine were consumed than expected as a friend had recently finished her final year Uni exams… celebrating was definitely on the cards and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I feel that I have been trying to walk upwards on a downwards travelling escalator recently and albeit I have lost recently, I am annoyed I am not losing more and then go and screw it up… like having a takeaway the night before weigh in! I should point out that before the takeaway for dinner, I hadn’t actually eaten all day… I know! I know! I will never listen! Weight loss this week has not changed… yet – am sure the takeaway will have some effect but I am going to take that and eat better, healthier foods this week… and stay away from alcohol!
If only Morgan Freeman could voice a podcast for healthy eating, I would be there!
