It has been an absolutely glorious half term week, despite the weather and the fact I have not been able to attend the gym… but when you have a fantastic box of Baker Ross craft set goodies to delve into then the lack of gym visits is easily forgotten.
I was totally grateful to Baker Ross for sending us a wonderful craft box again – this time with a somewhat ‘under the water’ type theme – lots of polystyrene fish to paint in pretty colours, cushion fish to make and sew, mermaid bookmarks with beautiful ribbons alongside mini cardboard bags to decorate and gnomes to paint too!
Liv was definitely in her element and I was more than happy – Baker Ross kits are fantastic because they contain everything that is need to make the item, with little to no mess made. Glorious! The packs contain several of the same item so they are always handy to pull out when friends come over to play! Check out our previous Baker Ross craft box!
Scentos sent us a lovely pack of their pens a little while ago now and it seemed half term was the perfect time to put them to good use especially when it came to colouring in the Baker Ross craft sets. The pens are very funky and even have a rather fruity savoury scent to them.
The set is great and filled with lots of fun pens, stickers and paints to keep creative minds happy! With 75 items in the pack, there is a lot to keep children occupied and stationery for every occasion! The paints came in very handy for painting the gnomes! I have since had lots of lovely scented pictures which are now dotted around the house! The pack is available from Weveel currently priced at £17.65.
When being creative got a little too much, we turned to a household favourite in Betty Crocker. I absolutely adore their mixes, having reviewed them before. They are so quick to mix up, simply requiring eggs, water and a little oil if necessary. Add a little cream cheese icing to a carrot cake mix and this is what you end up with… absolutely delicious!
In order to work the cake and several ice creams eaten throughout the week, Liv and I visited friends alongside enjoying long dog walks around local scenic country parks. The dog seems to have been snoozing a lot in the later part of the week and as school is back tomorrow… I had best remember to set my alarm and have an early night myself!
