A week into the New You Plan and my hips are disappearing!

I. Kid. You. Not!

I have spent the last 22 weeks cutting down on food intake and exercising every day with no movement and a week on the TFR (total food replacement) diet and they are shifting!

New You Plan

Alongside  a total loss of 8lbs this week (since I started last Monday), which includes a slip blip on Friday night due to tiredness and a hospital visit to see Jenny!

I am feeling absolutely fantastic not just due to knowing how much weight I have lost but also just in myself. There are no hunger pangs and even my skin is looking great due to all the water I am drinking… along with black coffee!

Due to the different types of meals you can choose, as you aren’t just restricted to shakes, I am finding the diet very easy to manage whilst out and about and choose to take a Chocolate Cream Cookie flavour TFR bar with me. These are absolutely delicious and certainly trick your mind into thinking you are munching on a chocolate bar. So the diet really does fit in nicely with my schedule.

If I need to mix a delicious tasting shake on the go (shake packet + 200ml of water) then shakers are available (complete with the metal shaker ball) to help you mix it all up on the go. My friend has a sip of my shake this morning and commented that she would happily drink the chocolate shake all day – so much tastier than expected!

I have been experimenting slightly in the latter part of the week by making bhaji style New You Plan Chicken Noodle Curry – which does actually taste like the curry sauce you can order from a Fish and Chip shop – divine! By simply mixing 30ml of water with the packet and baking in the oven at 170 degrees for 20 minutes, the mixture rises slightly and forms bhaji style muffins. The packet when mixed according to instructions is liquid like so having it in a bhaji style is awesome and gives you some chomping action!

New You Plan

I even made Chicken Soup crisps by mixing up the packet with around 30ml of water again, smearing the paste in circles on baking paper and cooking in the microwave for roughly 2 and half minutes.

All in all, mentally I am in the right place to stick on this and with a great weight loss already behind me, there is nothing to stop me!

If you are considering trying the New You Plan then don’t hesitate to email me with any questions! There are some fantastic deals on the site at the moment, dependent on how long you wish to spend on the diet,  check out the New You Plan site for more details and a look at their fantastic meal plan range!

Always make sure you consult a Doctor before starting on a VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet) such as the New You Plan. Albeit you may think TFR (Total Food Replacement) seems harsh, the 4 packs you are allowed on a daily basis do contain all the necessary vitamins, minerals and nutrients your body requires each day. It just so happens, that when your body is in ketosis (check out my previous post) you also burn fat not only to provide energy and keep you going, but being in ketosis is how you lose the weight so quickly. By drinking the recommended 4 litres of water (black tea or coffee can be drunk too) a day alongside the 4 packs, this is a healthy way to lose weight, just at a slightly quicker pace.

For me personally, a VLCD is a healthier option than what I was eating – although I was calorie counting before, I cannot wholeheartedly say that I was having my full daily intake of vitamins. By using The New You Plan, I can be sure I am, the range is full of flavour and I actually look forward to the next meal – plus the hassle of what to eat has been taken away.

This all sounds really different, it’s not a plan I have heard of before. Glad it’s working so well for you!

Thank you so much Pippa, you know me – this is working and I am enjoying it – plus the hips are moving! 4 packs a day is really easy and you do not feel hungry in the slightest!

Awwww. It was lovely you came to see me, thank you! xx
And boy does this diet suit you. Every thing you’ve said there is true – you are happy and lively and you aren’t saying you are hungry at all. Nice to see your jeans sagging this morning too! Hehehe xx

Ha ha! Thank you so much for pointing out my saggy jeans to me… any normal circumstances and I would be offended but that shows this diet is working and I cannot believe my hips are shifting! I never thought they would. xxx

Wow, I’m very impressed Sim! Glad to hear you’re enjoying the diet. It sounds great 🙂 I’m very keen to hear more about it. Might need to give it a go myself. Not getting anywhere with calorie counting at the moment 🙁 🙁

It is really great Brittany, I reckon you would enjoy it! Certainly not as ‘boring’ as other TFR diets and all the meals are seriously tasty.

Sim I can’t tell you how surprised I am at this! I’ve only ever seen these with shakes and perhaps a tasteless bar and I’ve always thought I couldn’t ever do something like that as I’d miss actual food, but this looks really something!

The fact that all the meals are so tasty really does make the New You Plan diet a lot easier to stick to, I assure you! Very different of me to actually look forward to the next meal and to see that it is working and have people notice the difference already is fantastic!

Mine clearly aren’t at the moment – I gripped them this morning and there is less of them and my arms seem to be closer to my body when pushing in, so a very good sign… that and the fact Jenny confirmed my jeans are falling off me! 🙂 Definitely, being creative with the food keeps it all fresh and exciting. The water used in making the meals is not counted towards the daily water intake so is not detrimental and without using any other products – I recommend silicon moulds as I have scratched a few bun tins – they are allowed!

Hi , I follow something very similar with Pickslim Total fast plan and I have to say it works very well. The choice is largé and they are some very good products like chocolate bars, or cookies that are really similar to the one I used to eat. Have you been able to maintain the results? Thx

Having a range of items alongside the shakes really does make that type of diet easier to handle and maintain whilst not compromising your social lifestyle. It is very hard to maintain weight loss after using such a diet – personally, I found Keto and only wish I had found it sooner. The lifestyle is amazing, as are the health benefits and certainly the weight loss results. Without any compromise on food and I never feel I am missing out. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough!
