Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday Week 26!
We are officially half way through the year, whoop!
This week is ‘too hot, hot damn’ meaning lots of water is being consumed and the need for a pint, sat in a beer garden is very great!
Which is exactly what I did on Saturday when we spent a lovely afternoon at our local village summer gala. The New You Plan was on hold for the day as I knew we would be out in the sunshine all day long and really wanted to enjoy the day…
The same happened yesterday too as it was sports day at school… we were due to be sat in a field for nigh on 3 hours in 26 degrees heat. Arrrrrrgh! Yeah, no I did blip yesterday but because I had mentally prepared myself to eat, I felt less guilty.
I tentatively stood on the scales this morning and had put on 3lbs – it’s all good, I am putting that down to water retention and know that as I am back on the diet today, the scales will move in the right direction again tomorrow.
I love the New You Plan so much, I have even treated myself to another 3 week bundle. I am too close to my target now and noticing the difference is really spurring me on. I even braved a maxi dress at sports day yesterday – the confidence boost is amazing! I am rather excited about trying the Cottage Pie, a meal I have not tried yet, so am already looking into recipes I can make! Clearly my progress is evident from last week’s Weight Loss Wednesday post, if you are curious about the diet, check out the New You Plan site for more information!
Workouts are still going strong and running in an air conditioned gym is rather satisfying at the moment. My fingers are crossed for nice but mild weather next Sunday when I finally take part in the Manchester Race For Life. I need to get on it even more this week and train harder than ever before… I have already organised for a bottle of Peroni to be waiting for me when I cross the finish line! 🙂
Just over a week to go… I can do this!

I don’t blame you for not attempting to stay on plan, especially on sports day. I blipped at work on Friday and thought “Bugger” but then the next day when I’d decided that staying on plan wasn’t a great idea for day two at work, I felt less guilty because I was mentally prepared. x

Thanks for sharing! I want to wish you luck on your journey!
I hadn’t heard about this “New You” plan but I will look into it!
Your doing well. I’m sure glad you have air con for running. it would be crazy without it in this weather.

Its hot everywhere darling. It was more almost 46 C yesterday in my city. Imagine that.=(
I can imagine you are more used to that kind of heat than we are… here in Manchester, it rains most days and struggles to get over 20 even in the height of summer!
you are the best to judge what you do.. As you say, you can lose that added weight as soon as you go back to your normal routine.
The weather has been extremely rainy here so I’m not able to get out and follow my routine either. Time to look into a treadmill for me.
At least you have heat!! In Wisconsin we are stuck in this perpetual fall weather and its definitely summer lol. So sad!! But perfect for getting out and doing things outside!!
Monitoring your weight is really important to prepare what kind of diet you’ll have for the next weeks or how much do you have to burn in your next workout. It’s good that you keep a positive attitude even if you’ve gained weight again. I know some people who easily gets paranoid and would skip one decent meal in a day.
The weather in Singapore is like 34 degree celsius! Ultra hot and I keep wanting to go for chilled drinks!
Good for you, that you seems to enjoy the journey to weight loss, i have been struggling with mine , especially losing my ab, yeah ab, without the S because its only one lol
I am glad to read that you are not too disappointed by the small gain! You are still on the right track and you are doing brilliantly.
This heat is a nightmare! We had 36degree weather in Bath yesterday! I melted! And torrential rain today! Crazy Weather!

Yup, three pounds is usually just water, especially when you know that you are keeping your diet. Good luck on the race. You have been training so hard for this.
You go! almost there!
How I wish that our temperature here gets pegged at an average of 25 degrees the whole year. It reached 36 degrees last summer, so we are thankful for the rains we are having these days to cool things down.
You have been doing a great job all the while but sometime with weather like this we tend to switch a little bit in our routine. It is hot everywhere !! Who don’t love rains .
Awesome news and great job 🙂 I’d love to lose weight myself but have slacked a little..
i tried working out in this heatwave we’ve got going. gave up after 5 mins haha
Our temperature here reaches 30++ being a tropical country. Anyway, it looks like the new you plan is making wonders.
You’ve done what you’re hoping for in shaping your image and health. You’re doing great until now.
All the best in the Manchester Race For Life. Keep active and healthy lifestyle.
Good luck on your task!! I also try to follow the work out plan but skipping work outs every now and then never hurt nobody!
excercisinfI am trying to loose 8 pounds. It sure is hard. Local fitness place in town is offering one month free. I went once and I plan to keep going because without my laptop is messing up.
I plan on keep going to the fitness place because it is the only way I am going loose weight
i work evey day, this is me routine.
Indeed you can hun and good luck for the Race for Life. I’m sure you’ll do great and you will be so proud of yourself when you cross that finish line. When I return from my holiday I think I’ll check out this New You Plan, it certainly looks like it could help me. 😉
I haven’t heard of the New You plan will have to check it out. You’re right it’s been far too hot!! I know we shouldn’t complain but it’s just impossible to do any exercise xx
