Weight Loss Wednesday Linky – Week 29 #WeightLossWednesday

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday Week Linky 29… where is this time going exactly?

There have been quite a few revelations this week… namely, the fact I have been eating and drinking and still only gained 2lbs. Either my scales are just being incredibly kind to me or my fitness plan this year and being on the New You Plan really has retrained my eating habits.

Totally discounting the Chicken Cottage from last night when a friend popped over… my scales clearly have not updated! However, today I am back on plan to shake off the remaining stone. (Thanks go to Barry from the New You Plan for the lovely email this morning – just what I needed to get back on track!x)

School holidays have dictated that gym visits are nonexistent, which is bizarre as I never knew I would pine for the gym as much as I am doing. Proving that it is my time and space away from the world whilst I am there!

Nachos may have been involved due to a restaurant review! ;)

Any followers of Weight Loss Wednesday will recall that I was a great fan of my FitBit Flex, totally addictive and spurred me on to up the ante. Well, that was until a couple of weeks ago when my 2nd FitBit Flex broke within 3 months of the 1st breaking. I used it every day, didn’t wear it in the shower or bath, so kept it away from water and wasn’t exactly ‘rough’ with it… not as if I am a cliff hanger or anything! πŸ˜‰

Firstly the strap broke and then the tracker would just not reset, no lights… no life!! Exactly what happened with the first tracker. My arm feels totally naked, it was extra bling and a talking point with people… did I ever tell you that one of the mum’s at school said that I was an inspiration?! Me! I was on cloud nine… you do not realise that by helping yourself, sometimes you are actually helping others too! Needless to say, the mum in question did go on to purchase an activity tracker, not a FitBit though… so I assume hers will actually last longer!

I am going to be working with the rather lovely Activ8rlives shortly, which I am rather excited about, but in the meantime, will be checking out their new Activ8rlives’ 3.0 Health and Wellness Monitor and Food Diary App. Getting back on track with the diet today, I need something that will keep track of my intake and keep me on the right track when I am properly eating again.

Bring on the summer!

Hi! I’ve just discovered your linky and thought I would join. I’ve just properly jumped on the weight loss wagon and I thought I would document it through my blog for a bit. It sounds as though you have done incredibly well so far. The hardest thing is to bring things back after you’ve had a little slip so good on you for finding the motivation again. Look forward to visiting again next week x

Also, I use the fitbit one. I love it. I just clip it to my bra and go on with my day. I’ve had it for a month now, it seems pretty durable x

Interesting how you have totally imbibed the fitness lifestyle that you feel weird not exercising or being in the gym, or even without your gadgets. Looks like this is already really life-changing. Congratulations!

Sorry to hear your FitBit has died, I’ve been umming and ahhing over whether to get a posh pedometer thingy of some description but keep thinking it will just be another fitness thing I buy and never use, can’t afford to waste that kind of money sadly. Kind of glad I didn’t now too because it was the FitBit I was looking at!

i really want to buy a wrist activity tracker thing but i’m so put off with all the poor reviews i’m reading. it seems like even the expensive ones are prone to breaking and are not very accurate. maybe ill have to go old school and just buy a simple pedometer!

i have come to realise that when i am in the zone i have to run with it and just focus, when i fall off the wagon i feel all lost! Sounds like you are in the right frame of mind and i’m sure you’ll be losing again soon πŸ™‚

The Activ app sounds like it could be really good, always great to have extra bit of motivation. I hope it all works out, and wooo so pleased school is out.

By helping yourself, you are helping others. I like how you phrase it! It’s very positive!

Sorry to hear about the FitBit. I’ve been meaning to get a wrist activity tracker that I can use when walking.

I haven’t personally used Fitbit but got really good feedback about it and how amazing it is. Looking forward to see your review about activ8rlives.

Too bad you’re second fitbit broke. I think, it’s the salt in our sweat that can really lead to breaking of the bracelet. I have the same problem with my watches so I usually wash of the watches after each workout.

Fitbit is something I need for the moment. BTW, when you talk about ‘drinking’ what specifically are talking about?

Being very naughty and drinking alcohol πŸ™ I did love my FitBit Flex but wish it had stood the test of time!

Ugh, having your favorite activity get broken is such a bummer! And on a second time too! I’m just happy for you that you’re inspiring others to do more πŸ™‚
