Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday Linky Week 32!
Attempting to write a blog post at this moment in time is rather tedious. Who knew it was actually easier to lose weight than actually get your head in gear?
Stuck between first and second gear this last week, I have enjoyed several drinks (all for celebration purposes, so they were justified) and food.
I am still a little way from my target yet and this is making me feel guilty for eating – nothing anyone can say or do, it is just a case of being on the fitness kick for so long has obviously helped retrain my food thought process with what I should be eating and when I should be eating.
I have recently taken part in a lovely campaign regarding mindful eating, which resulted in receiving a lovely box of food from Hello Fresh. After considering a food box before but never taking the next step, it was lovely to be able to open the box of healthy food, already measured out with easy to follow recipes to prepare the meals.
Liv and I were lucky enough to tuck into rather delicious Lamb Flatbread with salad and yoghurt for lunch last week… simply divine and not something I would ever had considered cooking for lunch previously. Just for myself it would seem pointless, however for two it was really worthwhile and I was shocked when Liv managed to scoff it all!
My taste buds have definitely been spoiled by the Hello Fresh selection of foods (which did include Duck… one of my favourites!) and it has made me realise I need to savour flavours more and be more open to new foods… especially as I work my way up to eating properly again. Mindful eating is definitely the way forward!
I am coming up to the point of proper re-feed, I know I keep saying that however I do need to make make that cross over into actually eating when Liv returns. It wasn’t until last week, when I sat down on my sofa and realised I had not cooked in my own kitchen for 10 days! I had literally only been making black coffee – doesn’t mean I didn’t eat in that time, just that I was treated to meals by super lovely people! 🙂
Weight loss has not be as such in the last week… a fully loaded milkshake last night didn’t help, however a 1lb loss this morning. To say I haven’t actually been doing any specific diet… I will go with that! 😉
