Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Welcome to the Weight Loss Wednesday Linky Week 45!

Almost there now!

This week has been a really thought provoking week, lots of things happening, some good, some not so good. Not knowing how to broach this week’s Weight Loss Wednesday, I decided I would dedicate it to my lovely best mate and the other half of Weight Loss Wednesday.

Even I am getting bored of bleating on about myself, so I have no idea how you cope reading it on a weekly basis! This week, I decided to take a breather and make it about Beth…

Now, Beth may not have been present as much as we would have all hoped for, but it would be great if we could all show her some epic support!

Back in 2013 I started on Weight Watchers and so began my weight loss journey. I wasn’t alone in starting as Beth and I had made a pact to rock 2013 to the core… especially as she was getting married. We both had goals in mind and by following Weight Watchers, we made a fantastic start to what I have now realised is a never ending journey. Anyone else on a mission to lose weight will totally understand that – the journey does not end when you reach target, it simply curves in order for you to maintain, but still enjoy life and your success!

However, Beth had not banked on getting pregnant… twice since 2013, leaving me to look after WLW on my own… I think I have held it together well! 😉

Life changes, routines change and days fly by with other worries besides weight loss.

You may have noticed Beth has not been able to participate in WLW for a while and that she has been slightly awol. As I sit here writing this post, Beth is sat at her baby daughter’s bedside willing her to put weight on and be strong. Born with a hole in her heart, Baby Rainbow has not had the easiest start but is a super little fighter!

Beth will be back with us soon and I hope she can take over Weight Loss Wednesday and have the same support I have had from all the lovely bloggers who join up and share their journeys. Sometimes we just need to take a breather, life does get in the way and things happen that make us realise that it is nonsensical to get hung up on trivial matters. So go and enjoy yourself, enjoy life…if you want that pudding, you have it. Tomorrow is always a new day, there for you to start afresh. Let’s get ready to welcome Beth back soon, your tomorrow is coming.

Aww I’ve followed some of Beth’s journey but not all of it – sending hugs and love. You are so right about some things being more important than the number on the scales xxx

Awww, you are so sweet. Poor Beth really is going through the mill – any weight she’s losing will not be for the right reasons. Hospital food is expensive and tedious, and stress is not a pleasant way to lose weight at all. I hope that her situation improves and quickly, and she can finally take her healthy baby home for good soon xx

Stress related weight loss is never great – luckily she has been able to take food in and cook in the hospital xx

I love the picture of you and Beth! You both look fantastic in the picture! Even though I can’t see your body in the picture, your faces look slim, so you must be doing something right! Good Luck on the rest of your journey!

There are much better measures of health than weight.

Valerie Jaffee November 16, 2015 - 2:24 pm

It’s hard to ignore the number on the scale but how you feel is more important than what the scale says.
