Christmas spirit was definitely in the air this week, what with copious Christmas films on the television, the CO-OP Christmas Blogger event, the school Christmas fair… complete with actual reindeer and a lovely trip to the Manchester Christmas markets. To say I am a tad giddy about the festive period is an understatement!
We have managed to survive our crazy week, despite both Liv and I suffering with colds… in true form, I suffered more than Liv! Work has been a little slow off the mark due to absolutely no concentration at all, my ability to actually speak and make sense was a chore, but to write as well? A task too far, so I took so much needed rest and relaxation time off and spent quality time with Liv.
This week was the perfect excuse to crack out our Baker Ross Christmas Blogger Ambassador box and crack on with making Christmas crafts and decorations.
Liv has been learning about Hansel and Gretel at school so the Gingerbread Decoration Sewing Kits (Pack of 3 for £3.60) were chosen first. If you have read my previous Baker Ross posts, you will know that the sewing kits are by far my favourite Baker Ross kit pack. With all the craft supplies included, easy to follow instructions and with no sharp objects, Liv is able to crack on and make these crafts herself… however, I always end up with the sewing and stuffing part… Liv gets to stick on all the self-adhesive decorations! They are wonderful to make together and will be the perfect new addition to our Christmas tree this year!
The Angel Peg Doll Kits (Pack of 4 for £3.96) are ridiculously cute and make the perfect Christmas tree decoration, whether for yourself or as a gift. There really is something special about receiving a handmade decoration… a more thoughtful gesture than a shop bought decoration and something that can be treasured.
The Snowman House Kit (1 house for £1.99) is our next challenge from the Baker Ross Christmas craft box and is the perfect craft activity for a rainy Sunday afternoon. The greatest thing is… no glue is required! This will be an awesome decoration to showcase on the lounge windowsill… and it has got me thinking… is it too early to put up our Christmas tree yet?
