Weight Loss Wednesday Linky Week 2… AGAIN

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

It was so lovely to see so many blogs… old and new join in with Weight Loss Wednesday last week, especially now that Beth is back with us, fingers crossed for much weight loss and fitness success in 2016!

After my surprise PB in last week’s post, I  had something to aim for in the gym this week… alas, I was 15 seconds out, however it is just going to prove that the Jeff Galloway run/walk method is working!

I’ve recently found out that we are due to have a colour run in my hometown this summer, having wanted to run in another race this year, I do believe this is going to be my next challenge… and I do not have to travel far for it! Bonus!

Last week I stated that I was restarting the New You Plan and I am successfully starting Day 3 now. After a weekend of proper home cooking, it was better to start the diet, afresh on  Monday… and the 1st of the new month. Psychologically starting any diet is so much easier on the first day of the week… your goal is to reach the end of the week and then carry on from there. It is easier to keep a track of where you are and also arrange your week accordingly.

Homemade Sausage rolls... pre-diet!

So, what is getting me through this week besides New You Plan Banana Shakes? Water… plenty of water and black coffee… and blankets! I say blankets, as when your body is kicking into Ketosis mode (the state at which your body starts breaking down actual fat to produce the energy you require to crack on), your body feels the cold. Headaches are part of the norm, but drinking plenty of water will help immensely – Ketosis generally kicks in around day 2-3 of a TFR/VLCD diet.

I am taking the shakes right through to Saturday, when we do have plans that require eating out. It is somewhat bittersweet with regards to weight loss as I am doing so well this week, I am feeling good, looking good and I have a target in sight… so to simply break from a routine that is going well, shall be hard however I feel less guilty over eating than I did last year. I know how easy it is to get back on track and by simply choosing the correct food option, any damage will be minimal.

I’m feeling much more relaxed about weight loss and fitness this year, everything seems to be on track… at the moment and the Colour Run is a new challenge for me to aim for.

What are you currently aiming for? Do you have any particular targets that you are heading for?

I admire your commitment to do the New You plan, I tried and failed, I wanted to eat my own arm lmao. I noticed there is a colour run in Wythenshawe Park, which is walking distance from my house. I cant run for my life but I would walk it lol

Yay! Good on you! 🙂 Damage will be minimal on Saturday because you are no longer the person you were 2 years ago… even 3 years ago… Your attitude towards food has changed. 😀

How weird – there’s a colour run/walk in Dunkirk this summer for the first time too. The only problem is, the kids would want to do it with me too so it would end up quite expensive – not sure yet !

I’m glad you’re feeling more relaxed about your weight loss this year, you’re doing such an amazing job please give yourself the credit you deserve, and remember that, while it will be hard, it shouldn’t feel horrid.
The colour run sounds fun (although far out of my reach right now!), good luck with the training for it!

I always find that setting a target gives you a goal to aim for, but set it close! People often procrastinate and put off their weightloss until closer to the date of the goal.

So set goals close and often! x

Love your Weightloss Wednesday linky, I share a lot of weightloss information so it’s perfek! x

Oh what a brilliant target to aim for! I tried running before I fell pregnant with my little boy but I’m just rubbish at it, I haven’t got any stamina. Good luck with your training x

I enjoyed the New You Plan when I did it last year and those banana shakes are delicious! I think it’s the only diet I ever drank enough water with. I struggle to drink even a glass a day instead of diet coke etc. Good luck this week, I’m sure you’ll do brilliantly even with a night out x

Knowing how to manage things when life gets in the way is probably one of the key things for successful weight loss and you’ve proved you can do it with what you achieved last year 🙂 My water intake has risen since beginning my new regime although I could still do better but I am not yet at the stage where I think I would benefit from replacing meals with a drink but I would be willing to give it a go if my weight plateaus later.

Thank you so much Mich! Luckily after having previous experience, I am fully prepared for the headaches and cold shivers – drinking plenty of water and black coffee certainly helps! Hope you are having a good week and are feeling better now chick!xx

Thank you so much love, certainly taking it much easier this year but even maintaining takes a lot of hard work. The small changes really do add up and you will certainly begin to notice a difference. Drink water and lots of it, that is my top tip!xx
