Weight Loss Wednesday Linky: Before And After

Weight Loss Wednesday Linky

Welcome to Weight Loss Wednesday and many thanks to all those who linked up last week! It has been inspiring to read about your journeys and success so far – also great to read about a fellow Weight Watcher too! Slimming World does appear to be the most popular diet, simply because it fits in so well with everyone’s lifestyle and you do not have to forgo favourite foods.

I always found that tracking helped me greatly when I started out last January. MyFitnessPal was a godsend for me, especially as I found the Weight Watchers app kept crashing, but by all accounts it does work now. Recording all the food I ate certainly helped me manage my daily points allowance and helped me maximise my weight loss at the start of my journey.

I’m not going to bleat on about how well I was doing on the New You Plan until my planned meal on Friday… nor how I am feeling utterly pants right now because I have been scoffing for England and am hiding from the scales (normal service shall be resumed after a trip to Jamie’s Italian later in the week!). ย I remembered how I was feeling around 6 weeks into my weight loss journey last year, so decided to spread some inspiration and motivation… I hope!

Weight Loss

Pancake Day!

Before starting my journey, I utterly detested full length pictures of myself and hated anyone even attempting to take them. Jenny was my nemesis at the time as she would take pictures of me and send them over… nowadays, I think she is fed up of me asking her to take pictures! Mentally keeping up with how much weight I have lost has been hard, picking up smaller sized clothing just doesn’t seem real somehow and it isn’t until you compare pictures that you actually see the difference for yourself.

So here we go… on the left there I am in November 2014 and on the right, there I am in August 2015. Not at my smallest but still, a picture I am proud of.

Weight Loss

A weight loss journey is not meant to be easy, the harder you work, the greater the results. You need to find motivation and determination to keep going because the end results are definitely worth the effort!

What are you currently aiming for? Do you have any particular targets that you are heading for?

Wow check you out! You look amazing! I keep using the SW tracker thing (they’ve FINALLY got one, albeit a bit of a naff online one, but it works none the less) and it’s definitely working to help me keep on track. Enjoy Jamie’s Italian, I’ve never been but it always sounds great x

Thank you so much chick, much appreciated! The hard work is paying off but am going to need to live in the gym for the next month after the Jamie’s Italian visit! I do like trackers and keeping a record of everything. I was very strict on the 40 calories equated to 1 ProPoint depending on what food it was. So WW easily manifested into calorie counting for me which I found much easier and less restrictive on occasion. Hope you are having a good week and looking forward to catching up with your journey this last week xxx

Wow, what I always love about your before/after photos isn’t even about how you look, it’s about the body language – in the second one, you have a reall sexy, sultry, self confident thing going on ! Love it ! I’ve started food tracking this week – I never know if it’s a good thing or not because the Slimpod had a thing about it making you think about food too much when it should be taking a back seat. I like the reassurance of seeing really unhealthy things that I thought wouldn’t be that ad.

Why thank you very much lovely lady… you should see the other pictures! ๐Ÿ˜‰
Only joking!!! Or am I?! ๐Ÿ˜‰
The more confidence you have in yourself, the more that shines through and the more people are drawn to that fact. I need to look into the Slimpod more. Though as I have stated before, I am not good with rules or being told what to do. Hope you are having a good week chick!xxx

Thanks for posting pics as us newcomers haven’t really seen what you used to look like and it is really motivational to see the changes.
