I am going to start this week’s Weight Loss Wednesday Linky with a moan…
Mini Me ate my Easter Egg! She claims not to have done, however unless Honey the Dog has suddenly found the ability to move a chair over to the fridge, open it, reach the top shelf with her paw, knock the egg out of the fridge, close it and move the chair back… all without us hearing this… then I am at a loss… as I certainly did not eat it. Fear not, I did not miss out and did get to chomp on other Easter goodies!
My social life over the Easter break has meant any thoughts of weight loss have been ignored. There are days when I start with all the best intentions in the world and then an invite out will come through. I am attempting to be on my best behaviour and make sensible choices when it comes to food. Though last week, Jenny and I did visit Vapiano in Manchester for a review… which was amazing. Italian food is my absolute favourite and I was fully prepared for it being a carb overload day. Mentally preparing for such a meal really does help with the guilt of that one meal undoing all the hard work you have put in that week.
I did not really need to worry though… instead of a trip to the gym on Monday, we headed over to help pack the goody bags for the impending Blog On conference in Manchester next month. We packed almost 300 bags with amazing goodies (everyone will be happy!) and by heck did it take its toll! I could barely raise my left arm yesterday, so I am expecting a raised eyebrow from my Physio this week, though I had warned him that I’m stubborn and I’m incapable of taking it easy!
It’s always refreshing to have a break from it all over the holidays, but I am already longing for Monday when life will get back to normal and I can fit in my 3 weekly gym sessions and stop eating out as much! Not that I am complaining though! 😉
