CANCELLED! Summer Days Festival At Clitheroe Castle

Summer Days Festival

Lancashire will be the hive of music this summer, with the Summer Days Festival kick starting it all off on Wednesday 6th July 2016! In case you are heading off to other festivals this year, check out the Festival Must Haves feature!

Summer Days Festival

Set in the rather picturesque location of Clitheroe Castle, the foundations of the castle… and indeed, the Ribble Valley will be rocked by a stellar line up, the kind of line up that takes you back to your teenage years. So expect lots of nostalgia and reminiscing!

Summer Days Festival

The three day festival will be held on Wednesday 6th, Friday 8th and Saturday 9th July 2016. Offering itself as a boutique music and food festival, the Summer Days Festival will offer something different to music fans in the North, the idyllic and quintessential location being the main focal point.

Ok, so here I am rambling on when all you want to know about is who will be playing at the event… buckle up, I think you may like the line up!

Wednesday 6th July

Simply Red, Gabrielle, The Christians, Roachford, Peter Hook & The Light, Mike Peters (of The Alarm), The Steve Norman Band, Villiers, The Remedy, Solid Rock, Clitheroe Ukulele Orchestra and DJ Rusty Egan!

Friday 8th July

Shed Seven, Jools Holland and his Rythym and Blues Orchestra, Caro Emerald, Space, The Farm, Tom Robinson Band, Hugh Cornwell, Neville Staple Band, Rothwell, D-R-I-V-E, The Wrangling and DJ Rusty Egan!

Saturday 9th July

Echo & The Bunnymen, Everything Everything, Lightening Seeds, Circa Waves, John Power, Mystery Jets, Milltown Brothers, The Rainband, Good Foxy, New York Tourists, Clitheroe Pop Choir and DJ Rusty Egan!

As far as line ups go, that is pretty spectacular and I am still in shock that the Summer Days Festival is happening on my own doorstep! However not as shocked as I was when Rick Witter retweeted my tweet regarding the festival last week! Shed Seven made such a mark on my teenage years, that it would be rude not to finally experience them live!
