If you have been following the weekly Weight Loss Wednesday linky, you will be fully aware that I have shifted some poundage… with that had to come a new wardrobe naturally.
One of my aims at the beginning of the year was to ensure I rocked my new figure by wearing more dresses and shocking the world by getting my legs out – I tend to live in jeans and comfies.
When House of Fraser very kindly gave me the opportunity to choose one of the amazing dresses featured on their site, who was I to refuse?
It was an arduous task, only for that fact that I actually wanted to pick every dress I saw!
Helping to narrow down the selection was remembering my height. At a lofty 5ft 9 most dresses look like mini skirts on me and quite frankly, I am at an age now where I do not want to be showing off my behind to all and sundry. With that in mind, I played for the safe option especially when considering my shape too. Skater dresses seem to flatter my shape somewhat more than any bodycon dress ever could, so they are always my staple, go to dress.
There really are so many dresses in all shapes and sizes to choose from in House of Fraser. Their site makes it very easy for you to select the required size, change the price limits, drop length of the dresses and even select certain brands, such as Wallis, Coast, Ted Baker and more. Delivery on orders under £50 is £3.50 and is delivered quickly via courier.
The dress I chose stood out to me straight away, it is very me in every way… style, colour, fit and length. I finally chose a Wallis dress priced at £40. I have simply been waiting for my legs to be slightly more tanned and to be more toned before I shocked you with my pins… and in all fairness, me in a dress! So, thank you to Jenny for being my photographer after my gym work out… as always you rock. Do you like my choice?
If you are looking for a dress for a special occasion this summer, go and grab a drink and sit down with the House of Fraser website, be prepared to ooh and ahh over all the pretty dresses before you find your perfect choice though!
