The Ultimate Festival Outfits

by S1m

The weather may not be enticing anyone to pack their bag to toddle off to a festival… but any die hard music fan will happily be colour coordinating their welly socks with their outfits.

The weather is not great, in typically British form, our summer is an absolute washout.

So if you are heading off to a festival this year… what outfits should you be considering packing?

The ultimate rock chick festival outfit has to be cut off denim shorts, wellington boots and a checked shirt… this outfit will see you through a full weekend of festivities and dancing around come rain or shine! Such a simple outfit that can easily be accessorised in different ways to achieve different looks. If the weather really is terrible, team this with an old school oversize parka to keep you warm and dry!

Sunglasses are the ultimate accessory though, who says you need to keep it simple when you can totally funk up your look. Wearing a hat will protect your head from any sun rays that may poke through the clouds… and will make you easier to spot in a crowd!

For men, rocking the vintage festival look is easy to do, with clothing stores like Rokit stocking funky Hawaiian shirts, biker jackets, anoraks, dungarees and the ultimate camo jackets (think Woodstock!), there is lots of choice whatever your style! I do think it is easier for men to rock a festival look… jeans and a shirt of some description and you are ready to rock and roll!

When Mini Me and I head off to a festival later this year, I shall definitely be rocking the jeans look… ultimate comfort and I am getting older now, no-one wants to see my pasty legs in denim shorts! I shall be taking my hat, sunglasses and floral headband with us though… to add a little glamour of course!
