Our tooth fairy is known as Cuthbert.
He is over worked, under paid and neigh on bankrupt after a series of tooth losses this year!
Last year, I had had to deal with many tears over the fact that Mini Me’s friends were all losing their teeth and we had yet to see one loss. This year we have seen quite a few, I believe the total is around the 6 or 7 mark. This many have something to do with the fact that Mini Me has been wiggling them and ‘encouraging’ them to fall out. Oh, she maybe smiling that as the contents of her purse increase, however it is a toothless smile!
Smiling is one of my favourite things to do, the power behind it is incredible! You can either make someone’s day or you can seriously annoy them, thus in turn making your day!
According to The Centre For Advanced Dentistry Yorkshire ‘Babies smile an average of two hundred times a day; the average woman smiles sixty-two times a day. The average man smiles only eight.’
Keeping what I had previously written about how powerful a smile is, those numbers do actually make sense!
As we prepare for our 6 monthly check up at the Dentist next month, I can only imagine the dentist’s face when Mini Me opens her mouth! With less to actually see, there is actually more to look at. He will need to check the new teeth are coming through properly and that gums are healthy and all is as it should be. A sticker will have definitely been earned by the time we leave!
Christmas will certainly be interesting with all the toothless grinning pictures that will be taken. A smile is a smile, whether toothless or not – I am just hoping that Cutherbert can have a rest whilst Faher Christmas takes over the workload!
