Home Pets A Day In The Life of A Pampered Pooch

A Day In The Life of A Pampered Pooch

by S1m

Having to deal with Blue Monday was just the tip of the iceberg for what has been a ridiculously long week. We should have remembered this week for the fact it is Honey the pooch’s 10th Birthday… alas, it will be remembered for the fact that she has had to wander around in the ‘Cone of Shame’.

Unfortunately a trip to the vet confirmed the dog has an infected toe which hopefully will get better in time but is a worry and very expensive ‘thing’ to heal. Whilst most people cannot even stand the smell of Germalene, it is rather obnoxious, it appears that Honey quite likes the taste… which is why she is now sulking and bumping into everything.

The poor pooch! It is a source of amusement and I know we shouldn’t laugh considering she has lost of sense of direction but it seriously cannot be helped! She is revelling in lots of cuddles and love currently, so hopefully she will be back to normal soon. There is no dampening her spirit though and her tail is still wagging… especially if there is food on offer!

Honey is certainly being pampered at the moment, however not to the extent some pets are!

Can you believe that there are cats and dogs out there who are millionaires? Even a chicken named Gigoo is worth a cool £8 million through inheritance from his owners. It truly is unfathomable that anyone would leave their fortune to their pets when they pass away.

Alas, Honey is just going to have to make do with having her paw bathed in Epsom Salts to soothe and keep the area clean alongside having Germalene applied. This is advised by the vet, alongside medication – if your pet suffers with an inflamed and swollen toe then ensure you visit a Vet asap to have it checked out!
