Easter seems to be the optimum time of year when house moves are considered as people look to Spring Clean and look into their living arrangements. Whether you do decide to look into moving house or simply look into improving your home, the helpful infographic from Slater & Gordon featured below as part of this collaborative post may help you decide on the best course of action.
I am always easily tempted to move by happening upon a pretty house for sale… I am a sucker for a beautifully cut garden and stunning views. However, it’s only when I realise how much I actually hoard and how long it would take to actually box up all our belongings that I’m easily reminded that moving house isn’t high on my to do list as it would be too stressful. In actual fact, it would probably be easier to adapt our living space by hiring a skip and finally chucking out the fort of cardboard boxes and random pieces of wood I have hidden away in the garage… just on the off chance I will ever need them. What for, I am not actually sure however I am sure the space they take up will no doubt be utilised by even more useless tat!
I have to agree with 35% of the 2000 people surveyed for the purpose of the statistics mentioned in the infographic, who stated that location was a key factor when choosing a new home. A stunning view can always make a property, however I do like to be close to the action and I do appreciate having local amenities within walking distance. For me, home improvements would definitely be the way forward – we have the space, the majority of our neighbours are lovely… the sanity of some is questionable… but we do truly love where we live, even when it rain is guaranteed pretty much every day!
If you are considering a move over home improvement, the infographic may have some useful points that may help your decision…
