LOL Surprise Tots Ball Doll Review

With it now being acceptable to mention Christmas and the Smyth’s catalogue already arriving on our doorstep, I am in full preparation mode, not only with the Christmas Gift Guide, but also presents for people… mainly Mini Me!

Watching her flick through the catalogue, I was surprised by the items she was making a note of and had hoped that she would have grown out of the small collectable toys by now… alas not.

Which is handy really as recently we were sent the latest LOL Surprise! Tots Doll Series 2 to open and review. Knowing Mini Me loves this type of toy, I had my camera ready to shoot the greatest unboxing video ever… alas, it took a little longer than expected to open… as you can see…

Each of the 7 layers of things to open offer up a new surprise, adding to the suspense of which of the over 45 dolls available to collect, you will eventually unwrap.

LOL Surprise Doll

The fun does not stop as soon as you have revealed which doll you have received in the cute and vibrantly coloured plastic ball with clip. Feed your doll if a water bottle is included to see if your doll cries, spits has an accident or bathe your doll (if water bottle not included) to watch your doll change colour. We received a doll with a water cup, who chose to spit… fortunately into the bowl that Mini Me had ready and waiting.

The 7 surprises you unwrap are: a secret message sticker, collectable sticker sheet, water bottle charm, shoes, doll outfit, doll accessory and finally the LOL Surprise doll with the water surprise.

Quite frankly, Mini Me played with the LOL Surprise doll for all of five minutes, however I can see how the L.O.L Surprise dolls would appeal to younger children. The colours are very vibrant and engaging and the dolls and concept of all the unwrapping is cute and keeps their attention.

You can purchase the L.O.L doll range from toy retailers such as Smyths priced at £9.99.
