The weather certainly isn’t helping the fashion stakes at the moment, it isn’t time to put away your Winter coats just yet! This week alone we have experienced rain (the usual for Manchester), snow, hail, bitterly cold temperatures with biting wind and even sunshine. From one day to the next I am not sure what I will be wearing to battle the elements!
Scarves have been a lifesaver for me this Winter, so easy to wear, versatile and you can be as bold and daring as you wish. Recently I have been rocking the gorgeous Zig Zag design Yellow scarf above, which is currently priced at £2 from LOTD (Look Of The Day). I cannot believe the price, it is an absolute bargain! The scarf is quite substantial in size and even after being washed has still retained it’s softness – it’s vibrant and different, most importantly it is keeping me warm! Scarves are definitely going to be a staple for me this year, with Mini Me informing me I’m ‘turning into Grandma’… help!
Jumpers keep me going throughout Winter, with a range of super comfy, thick jumpers that feel like you are wrapped up in a hug, to slightly thinner cotton jumpers for when the mercury rises ever so slightly.
I recently rocked a super cute thick jumper from LOTD for my birthday treat of afternoon tea at the Dearden Tea Rooms. The thicker, cable knit style kept me warm on the day and it was a really flattering fit – the badges a little something extra to the jumper and I am loving the nautical theme, it is totally my style. You can check out the jumper (currently prices at £8) here.
Another jumper that caught my eye for the purpose of this post is this LOTD camel striped jumper – by looking at my wardrobe you can tell I have a thing about stripes! It is really super soft and very warm to wear – perfect for those chilly days outside!
Shearling jackets have been a huge hit over Winter and this Aviator style shearling jacket easily caught my eye – the tan colour is warm, slightly darker in reality than expected but seriously warm and cosy. The extra buckles and off centre zip just the jacket a funkier look and especially coming up to Spring (I hope it hurries up!), as the jacket isn’t heavy or bulky, it is perfect for when the weather starts to warm up.
I am totally prepared for ‘going out’ occasions with this gorgeous peplum style navy frill hem long sleeve top (current price £10). It’s heavy fabric makes the fit very flattering with the frills on the sleeves and waist sections adding a little ‘va va voom’ and giving the top a more formal look. It can easily be accessorised with a long dropped necklace to add colour.
I was lucky enough to spend some time searching the LOTD for the pieces I selected for this post and I was really surprised. There is a fantastic selection of clothes at prices that simply cannot be ignored. It did make me question the quality of the clothes but I have been really pleasantly surprised – great quality at great prices, plus a rather handy next day delivery service (£3.99 for next UK working day). I will definitely be using the site again and cannot wait for the spring/summer collections!
Disclosure: LOTD very kindly gifted me the items pictures for the purpose of this review – all opinions and words are my own.
