Have you ever watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and wondered what it would be like to go on a sweet factory tour? Well, to celebrate Swizzels 90th Birthday, the winner of their ‘design a new sweet’ Sweetest Invention competition will win that opportunity!
There may not be a glass elevator, Willy Wonka nor a group of Oompa Loompas, but you can guarantee there will be sweets galore as you tour the Swizzels factory based in Derbyshire.
The makers of the much loved Refreshers, Drumstick lollies and Love Heart sweets are handing the reigns over to you to create a new Sweetest Invention that will be made in the Swizzels factory.
I am a huge fan of Refreshers, they are my absolute favourite by far and I have even trained Liv to save any Refreshers from trick or treating for me!
I truly wouldn’t even know where to start with designing a new sweet though, I have so many favourite flavours. What shape would it be? How big? Hard or Squashie? What would it even be called? It would certainly need to be something memorable!
It’s one thing to actually design a sweet, but to watch it being made and then actually eat it would be a dream! I have my kit ready thanks to Swizzels, I just need the ideas now!
To enter the awesome Swizzels Sweetest Invention competition, simply head on over to the Swizzels website and submit your entry.
Four Swizzels Sweetest Invention creations will be shortlisted by Swizzels judges and then put to the public vote.
The winner will WIN a VIP tour of our Swizzels factory in Derbyshire and will see their sweet invention brought to life.
You must be over 16 to enter the competition.
Good luck to all who enter, I cannot wait to see the winning Swizzels Sweetest Invention!
I was sent the selection of sweets and Swizzels Sweetest Invention goodies in order to write this post.

Oh my, it’s like lolly heaven! If I lived closer I would be booking a tour anyway – though my waistline may not be happy about it LOL. So many yummy treats.
Total sweet lover heaven! I don’t know if you can just book a tour, which is why this is so amazing… it is a real life ‘Charlie’ moment x
Oh if they don’t have that option they should so put it in place! Apologies too if my comment came through twice!
Lollies! I would be fascinated seeing how they actually make them – I reckon the process would be a bit mesmersing! I’d be up for going for a tour and I don’t see my kiddos complaining
It would be awesome to see how they are made… Refreshers too 🙂 Absolute sweet heaven… I just don’t know what sweet I would invent yet 🙁 x
Oh my! My waistline is expanding just looking at all my favourite lollies there. How cool to go and have a look and tour though. Wish I lived closer.
