Life as we know it has returned back to normal today, Liv has returned back to school and I am officially back out of holidays retirement… the summer holidays are over for us!
In typical fashion we were met with rain on the school run this morning and also for the pick up, at least it held off long enough for us to enjoy an awesome summer!

What a wonderful end to the summer holidays! 💖 The glorious sunshine has returned and it would be rude not to spend time outside! This year, I decided on something a little different in the fact we enjoyed several staycation breaks around the UK and made the most of the glorious weather. Whilst our breaks away may simply be a memory now, the pictures we managed to take to record our stays and adventures are a wonderful reminder of the fun we had.

This time last week, we were preparing to move onto the final stage of our staycation break away. I have a newfound love for Llandudno, having not visited since I was a child. We had such an awesome time, with the weather being as gorgeous as it was 🌞, we could have been anywhere! At that moment though, we were travelling up to the #GreatOrme via the tram checking out the gorgeous view of the beach.🚋 #travel #Instatravel #Staycation #Llandudno #greatormetramway #visitwales #family #familyholiday #nature #InstaNature #vacation #holidaymemories #beach #summerholidays #travelbloggers #RememberingTheseDays #LittleFierceOnes #CapturingTheDay #MyHappyCapture #ExplorerKids #UkExplore #LetsGoLittles #familytravel #minitraveller #TravelGuideBlog
You can catch up on our staycation over on Travel Guide Blog, you can tell I have a lot of catching up to do on the writing front but Liv and I visited…
Paradise Island Golf (in the Trafford Centre, Manchester),
The Ironbridge Gorge Museums in Telford,
Mercure Hotel Telford (and why you shouldn’t stay there),
Llandudno (where to stay/eat and what to do in the seaside resort),
Zip World Betws-y-Coed,
The stunning Sir Charles Holiday Cottage, Much Dewchurch (army weekend baby!),
Alton Towers (plus where to stay locally),
Harry Potter Tour (plus where to stay locally).
It all sounds amazing and it absolutely was! Back to work with a bump though now as I try to catch up amongst getting ready for the annual Sim’s Life Christmas Gift Guide. Can you believe it? Where has that time gone? Always one of my favourite times of year, expect lots of Christmas inspiration to help you prepare for the festive season!
Have you come out of holiday retirement now too?
