Find Out What’s On TV Christmas

I’ve been a regular at Tesco for the past few weeks. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of the annual festive Radio Times. The annual pilgrimage to check out what’s on TV Christmas?

Alas, I am still waiting as it seems as though it will finally be available in the shops next week. Which isn’t great when you are slightly impatient! I want to start ringing circles around the Christmas TV programmes you wish to watch!

Matt Horne on Radio X this morning has made me excited for the much anticipated Gavin and Stacey Christmas special. Set to be shown on BBC One on Christmas Day at 8.30pm.

However, I am currently not inspired by any of the other Christmas TV listings I am aware of. So I will be utilising Netflix more and doing other things over the Christmas season! With a range of films and TV series to watch, I shall be needing some good recommendations! Why is Christmas TV so uninspiring this year?

If you are wondering how to watch TV for free over the Christmas season, then there are many free live tv apps available for mobile devices. So, whatever your television habits are, there’s likely a way to watch tv for free that works for you.

Here is what you can expect from BBC One on Christmas Eve

What's On TV Christmas 2019

Urgh… it’s all very samey/samey, programmes I have already watched dozens of times before. Surely BBC One Christmas Day TV is an improvement?

TV Shows on Christmas Day

It may well be wise to have a blanket to hand for Christmas Day TV. It looks as if you will most likely be enjoying a snooze! Seriously, Gavin and Stacey is the best TV show on Christmas Day! Boxing Day TV isn’t faring any better either I am afraid.

Although I am looking forward to watching Mimi and the Mountain Dragon at 3.20pm on BBC One. Mackenzie Crook as Worzel Gummidge at 6.20pm on Boxing Day is definitely worth a watch too!

Final thoughts on What’s On TV Christmas Season

So, there we have it! As yet I am awaiting to see Christmas TV listings for the other main channels. Though I have to admit that I have lost hope somewhat! If this is the best BBC One has to offer, I shall reading books I started earlier in the year!

Have you seen anything in particular you would like to watch? Or are you equally uninspired by what’s on TV Christmas 2019?

  1. The only thing I want to watch on Christmas Day is Gavin and Stacey, but it’ll have to wait till the end of Jan when I’m back in the UK next and catch up with iplayer. We’ve not had British TV for 10 years and just rely on Netflix and you tube, so don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything, anyway. #pocolo

I am quite happy with the Christmas TV. Plenty of films that we love, all the soaps and the new Gavin and Stacey! I am looking forward to Call the Midwife, the new A Christmas Carol and The Great Christmas Bake Off x

    • Whhhhhhhat? It must just be our Tesco then. None of the mags were for Xmas week, all until the 20th! 🙁 I just expected something with some grit, definitely looking forward to Gavin & Stacey and do love Call The Midwife. I hope The Holiday is on at some point… my favourite Xmas movie! 🙂 x
