Check out other Sim’s Life Giveaways!
Who would have thought that after a harsh January weather wise, that we would be enjoying such a balmy rundown to the last weekend of the month? Whilst it may not be warm enough to dust off your pins, the signs are there that better weather is to come! The winter is always harsh on your skin, battling the elements is never fun, but a pre-Spring skincare routine can certainly help you battle those winter blues!
I’ve been stocking up on new skincare products myself recently, my birthday this week has prompted alarms to ring that I need to somehow wind back the time! Now, I get that it is nigh on impossible to do that, but I am going to give it my best shot!
Spring Skincare and SkinShop Giveaway
If you checked out my Spring Fashion post, you will have noticed that Home Bargains have several Simple Skincare gift packs on sale at the moment. Packed with a full skin care regime, the packs are tailored to different skincare needs and come in seriously handy if you are travelling.
I’ve noticed recently that Aldi are becoming slightly more eco-friendly with their stock. Cauliflowers are no longer sold in plastic bags and double cream no longer has the extra plastic lid. Random products but I utilise them greatly with my Keto Cauliflower Cheese recipe, so have been more aware of the changes. I did also notice a new Lacura skincare range in store too.
There appears to be a new Vegan Lacura range offering 100% naturally derived skincare products. I picked up the Lacura vegan eye cream, enriched with shea butter and coconut oil. As I have only just started using it, there are no groundbreaking results to report back with yet, but it does feel rather refreshing to use.
I have also been putting the Kalme Day Defence (£19.95) cream and LipQ Liquorice Balm (£7.95) to the test recently in my quest to be ready for Spring.
Winter is seriously harsh on your skin and the need for a good moisturiser has never been greater! The Kalme Daily Defence cream not only offers a pure zine oxide mineral SPF25 protection, but is a fantastic day cream to help repair your skin if you suffer with redness, bumpy or dry skin. It can also be worn under make up too!
The LipQ Liquorice Balm helps not only nourish your lips which can easily become chapped during the colder months, but the high concentration liquorice extract also helps to stave off cold sores. Tests have shown that the liquorice extract helps to form a physical barrier against the sun – helping not only to protect your lips, but also keep them moisturised – plus, the balm also smells amazing, but isn’t as overpowering as you would imagine!
The lovely people at the SkinShop are giving one Sim’s Life visitor the chance to put the Kalme Day Defence cream and LipQ balm themselves in the latest giveaway!
